In addition to President Bush, I'd single out General Petraeus, the architect of the surge, for particular recognition. He withstood a wave of left-wing slander and hate second only to what the President endured. Today we see yet more evidence that he was right.

Our military’s strength, courage, and heroism is greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.

Well, not by you, or me, or any patriot. But I'm sure the left will. John Kerry will still think they're all drooling imbeciles, and somewhere in the corridors of the DNC they're probably already working on plans to throw out military absentee ballots in 2010 and beyond.

Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do, and for all that you continue to do for this country.

That was just so right it had to be said again. **==
