George W. Bush was a good President. American citizens who were determined to destroy him will go down in history as the most disgraceful people a free society ever produced. I could, and did, always depend on him to give an honest and intelligent, pro USA speech and that is all that matters in a leader.

Dealing with people who have no class is a no win situation…they are cocky and aggressive. I have seen my share of this kind of people. They press their issue with no deference of how anyone else might feel. It’s all about them and all the great things they can do and how everyone else is woefully inadequate. (sort of sounds like the congress today)

I agree with this post and the others on the web who have finally seen just what kind of man Bush was. No, he was not a perfect president, but there has never been any time when someone could claim he didn’t love this country and the men and women who serve it.

The current president doesn’t give me that feeling. In fact, he gives me the heebie jeebies quite often because it has become very clear to me that rather than loving this country and its military and veterans, he feels much the opposite.

Claim what you will Obama supporters. But never has a president treated the troops with more disdain and disrespect than Obama. And it’s starting to become clear to others as well.

I think it’s gonna be a bumpy ride for Obama lovers and the hard left this next few years. I can’t wait.

Perhaps some of those on the left are realizing the damage that can be done with insults. You would think the touchy-feely left would know better than sling mud. It was something we fought against during the civil rights struggle in this country. Social justice is largely based on social goodness to others….think about that before you say an unkind word, left or right.

I know many active duty military personnel who have been in the military since 911. They all have been to Iraq at least 2 times now and some 3 times. And some are in Afghanistan now. They all thell me they loved George Bush and just hate Obama.

The reason: George Bush pushed for victory from the military to destroy our enemies and Obama pushes (needs) defeat from the military to placate his far-left liberal leaning loony political base.

Stay tuned as Obama searches for a sure-fire method to ensure defeat in Afghanistan.

Contrast that with Obama – who refused to meet with wounded troops in Germany during last year’s campaign unless he could bring along the media.

It’s truly said that character is defined by what you do when no one is looking.

As for Hillbuzz – I’m not completely surprised here. I won’t agree with them often, but last year they did impress me with their intellectual honesty. To that we can now add humility. It’s going to take cooperation between conservatives and non-statist liberals like them to get America moving in the right direction again.

I don’t know which surprises me less – that the Bushes did this, with intentionally no press coverage for it, or that Obama didn’t.

As a conservative, I had my share of disputes with the Bush White House on policy (Immigration? Harriet Miers, anyone?) but I just KNEW that GWB was, at his core, a decent man. His care for the troops under his command was evident from Day 1. I’m glad to see these guys on the left realize the same thing.
