And how did Greg Craig get HIS start in Democratic politics? By keeping John Hinckley out of prison. Can anyone imagine the justifiable outcry if Ford or Reagan had been represented by an attorney who defended Oswald or Sirhan Sirhan?

Yes, the man deserved competent legal representation, and if ANYONE qualifies as certifiably insane, it’s Hinckley. But that job should be filled by someone with no political ambitions, and REALLY shouldn’t be a ticket to the top of the party opposed to his intended victim.
