Panthers at the Patriots (UPDATE: PANTHERS LOSE 20-10)

Panthers logoWith last week’s impressive 16-6 win over the Bucs, the 5-7 Panthers hope to score an upset over Tom Brady and the 7-5 Patriots, who almost never lose at home. Matt Moore will once again be the starting QB for the Panthers as Jake Delhomme is still nursing a “broken finger.” I have that in quotes because rumor has it that Delhomme’s finger really isn’t broken, and I’ve heard that at least one local news outlet did an “investigative report” of sorts where they filmed Jake Delhomme throwing the ball and doing various other things with the broken finger hand where it didn’t look like it was broken.

In any event, broken finger or not, I hope Matt Moore and the rest of the Panthers have another good showing today. It’d be a minor miracle if we defeated the Patriots on their home turf, and needless to say, team and fan morale would get a big boost.

Game time is at 1 pm ET and will be broadcast on Fox.

Update: Neither team played their best today but the better team won. Final score: Patriots 20 – Panthers 10.

Maybe somebody should have broke the Snake’s fingers a lot earlier.

Meanwhile, we’re having Bear meat up in Wisconsin – 13-0 Pack early in the 2nd quarter.

Second halves are not our friends. The difference is, the Bears are bad enough to be beat with only one quality half of football.

The Dallas December Dive (TM) continues: San Diego 20, Dallas 17.

Well, the Giants had a chance to actually take over the NFC East with a win, but that was asking too much. The offense finally shows up and scores 38 points against a tough Philly defense…..only to give up 45 points.

    Un-freakin-believable.
