Panthers at the Patriots (UPDATE: PANTHERS LOSE 20-10)

Panthers logoWith last week’s impressive 16-6 win over the Bucs [1], the 5-7 Panthers hope to score an upset over Tom Brady and the 7-5 Patriots, who almost never lose at home. Matt Moore will once again be the starting QB for the Panthers as Jake Delhomme is still nursing a “broken finger.” I have that in quotes because rumor has it that Delhomme’s finger really isn’t broken, and I’ve heard that at least one local news outlet did an “investigative report” of sorts where they filmed Jake Delhomme throwing the ball and doing various other things with the broken finger hand where it didn’t look like it was broken.

In any event, broken finger or not, I hope Matt Moore and the rest of the Panthers have another good showing today. It’d be a minor miracle if we defeated the Patriots on their home turf, and needless to say, team and fan morale would get a big boost.

Game time is at 1 pm ET and will be broadcast on Fox.

Update: Neither team played their best today but the better team won. Final score [2]: Patriots 20 – Panthers 10.
