More from the most transparent administration evah

Byron York reports on a possible cover-up attempt regarding a possible link between the FLOTUS and the politically motivated firing of Americorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin:

Congressional investigators looking into the abrupt firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin have discovered that the head of AmeriCorps met with a top aide to First Lady Michelle Obama the day before Walpin was removed.

According to Republican investigators, Alan Solomont, then the chairman of the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps, had denied meeting with Jackie Norris, at the time the First Lady’s chief of staff. But recently-released White House visitor logs show that Solomont met with Norris on June 9 of this year (as well as on two earlier occasions). President Obama fired Walpin on June 10 after an intense dispute over Walpin’s aggressive investigation of misuse of AmeriCorps money by Obama political ally Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento, California.

After being presented with the visitor logs, investigators say, Solomont explained that he met with Norris to discuss Corporation business but did not discuss the Walpin matter. When pressed, Solomont said he might have made an offhand comment, or a mention in passing, about the Walpin affair, but that he and Norris did not have a discussion about it.

Solomont’s explanations have left both Rep. Darrell Issa, ranking Republican on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Sen. Charles Grassley, top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, frustrated and vowing to continue their investigation of the Walpin matter. In a letter to Solomont, sent Friday, Issa wrote that he has “serious questions about the veracity of your…testimony.” In a statement Saturday, Grassley said he is “concerned about the accuracy and completeness of Mr. Solomont’s answers to questions.”

Accuracy and completeness of testimony is demanded only for conservatives, not for liberals – WhitewaterGate, TravelGate, Vince Fostergate, Paula Jonesgate, Lincoln Bedroomgate, Lewinskygate, Pardongate, Lootergate – and that’s just a partial list only from the Clinton administration!

Do a Google search under “list of Democratic Party scandals” and you’ll find many sources with lists a mile-and-a-half long of Democratic Party scandals.

Looks like the Obama administration is on an all-out offensive to break the scandal record.

First Pelosi claimed when she became speaker that she would have the most ethical and transparent Congress ever. Then, candidate Barack Obama claims he will change how Washington works, will bring transparency to the White House, which the previous administration didn’t have.

His lack of transparency is so bad, that even the liberal press and blogs are starting to call him out with more regularity for his lack of transparency.

So, what are the chances Solomont will be charged with perjury for lying under oath? Somewhere between nil and zilch. And Duh-1 will pay less of a price for this chintzy bit of partisan politics than Bush did for firing several at-will attorneys.

Can’t blame Duh-1, though, for the complete lack of transparency – it’s the thick pall that’s settled over the thieves and rascals and reivers in D.C., which would include most of the people Duh-1 knows (including wannabee jackasses). Also explains why Nazi Pelousy has a hard time herding “the most ethical Congress evah!”

It’s all a big scheme and a joke. Who out there thinks that he is remotely presidential and worthy of leading this once great nation (as I keep repeating) back to greatness? His mission is the Socialist scorched earth policy. Make those ‘rich fat cats’ pay to keep up those non-workers that make up a huge voting lot in the Democratic base in any way we can. Grow government to the most unsustainable level possible on the backs of the American taxpayers and let’s cut America down to size for her many ‘sins and transgressions.’ Why, after all, do you think those meany fundamental extremists are picking on us after all? That’s ALL our fault! Really, it’s justifiable on their part!
