I’m getting ready to head out to run some errands and enjoy the first nice weekend weather-wise we’ve had in several weeks.
In the meantime, your picks in this weekend’s NFL playoff games are? I have no dog in this fight, but will admit to a tiny desire to see the Jets go further, just so I can check out their hottie QB Mark Sanchez a few more times.

My picks this weekend, FWIW: The Jets, Saints, and the Cowboys. I’m undecided on the Ravens/Colts game because I know the Ravens have it in them to pull off an upset, yet I know the Colts are not arguably the best team in the NFL for no reason.

Okay, okay – I admit Kurt Warner is my fave player in the league, so maybe I’m thinking with the heart and not the head, but the Gut, on the third hand, is telling me – the way the Saints just coasted there in the last third of the season, I think the momentum is all on the side of the Cardinals. Same with Jets / Chargers – San Diego is a monster of a team, but the Jets have been on such a roll lately, with that defense, it’s hard to count them out.
With New England out, my favorite team in the league, even before my beloved Bears, tho, is Whoever Is Playing the Cowboys. Go Favre.
No matter how many times they break yer heart, I gotta go with my beloved Saints.
Favre is a Mississippi lad, just one state removed from my “homeland”
(did I mention I’m homesick? – they don’t do fresh Gulf oysters, shrimp and specs up hereabouts
) … so I gotta go with the Vikings. (Though the Saints owe Dallas one since they got humiliated in the dome by ‘em.)
Hard to believe the Chargers won’t win, but you never know when you get a hot wild card team on a roll, so I dunno, but I reckon I’ll go with Jets for the fun of it, especially given Ryan’s in-your-face-reminiscent-of-Papa Ryan bluster.
Been offline more than on lately, SisterT. Catch you on the bounce around with a twit or two or three here ‘n there!
I’m going with San Diego, Indianapolis, Minnesota, and New Orleans. And with my track record at predictions, I’ve just doomed all four teams.
Okay, okay – I was WRONG WRONG WRONG about Saints / Cards. Kindly disregard.
Go Vikes!
Been a great game for the Vikes. Don’t know what happened to the Cowboys. With the streak they’ve been on lately, I figured it’d be more of a game than this. I’ve already turned the channel to watch the much more exciting and competitive UCONN/Michigan NCAA basketball game.
I know why the Jets won: they did it for ST, so she can see Mark Sanchez a few more times on TV.
Dern straight, Anthony
