ABC News’ Zachary B. Wolf reports: Republican Scott Brown, who changed the political landscape in Washington with his come-from-behind victory to secure the remainder of Ted Kennedy’s term, will likely be sworn in as a US Senator Thursday.
The official ceremony was originally slated for Feb. 11th, but Brown’s attorney today wrote to the Massachusetts governor asking for quicker work.
“While Senator-elect Brown had tentatively planned to be sworn into office on February 11, he has been advised that there are a number of votes scheduled prior to that date. For that reason, he wants certification to occur immediately,” writes Daniel Winslow.
Democrats in the Senate say they will swear him in if the paperwork is in order.
What’s unclear is what votes have been scheduled. Democrats broke a Republican filibuster on one nominee Tuesday, when they voted on party lines to proceed toward a vote on Patricia Smith to be solicitor general at the Department of Labor.
Can’t wait to see the pix and vid …

Finally! But it should have happened two weeks ago.
They quietly delayed it for as long as possible. Compare this to how long it took to swear in Bill Hoffman in NY-23 before all the absentee votes were counted… Pelosi was practically giddy with demonic joy to get his vote (broken promise, NY!!!) for her horrific albatross of a PelosiCare bill.
And the difference in votes between Dem Owens and conservative Hoffman was minuscule compared to that of Brown’s vs. Coakley’s.
No surprises here, of course.
If that’s the case, Scott Brown is likely to get sworn at tomorrow!
Well, now the count is 57 donks, 34 elephants, 7 RINOs and 2 people who don’t have any convictions one way or the other but want to feel the love from the MSM.
Other than “screw the people for everything we can” healthcare, don’t count on the Republicans on having enough votes to stop a toy train, let alone the Chicago Thug Express.
