The lastest far left smear attack on Senator Brown

Posted by: ST on February 19, 2010 at 12:11 pm

They’ve thrown everything they can at him, from the kitchen sink to the fact that his wife and daughters wear bikinis (scandalous!), and nothing has stuck, but that doesn’t keep them from trying. The latest far left ‘scandal’ on Senator Brown is that, rather than being forcefully condemning, he is a sympathetic b*stard trying to make excuses for the so-called “Tea Party plane crasher (more here).” In essence, they’re saying he was “sympathetic” to a “far right domestic terrorist.”

William Jacobson takes down their bogus accusations here by doing something that is unique to sites like “Think Progress”: Actually watching and listening to the video of what he said on Neil Cavuto’s show yesterday in context, and posting the relevant part of the transcript. As a result, another far left Scott Brown smear attempt goes down in flames.

Bob Owens wonders if lefty sites like Think Progress are actually capable of publishing the truth:

I often disagree with how my peers on the left and right view things, but I can at least understand that their view—how ever much I disagree with it or view it to be distorted—is an honest one.

I can’t say the same, however, about Media Matters or Think Progress, who like their nutty contemporaries at World Net Daily, seem intent on twisting even the most innocuous, innocent statement into something approaching an outright misrepresentation or lie. For a pair of sites that revel in painting their opposition as monsters in love with waterboarding, they seem far too comfortable with torturing reality.

[...]

I almost feel sorry for them, individuals so wedded to an intellectually bankrupt ideology that they’ve given up all decency, integrity and honor in order to viciously cycle lies for a living. Anything to be relevant, I suppose. Even if that relevance is based upon habitual deception.

Yep. “By any means necessary” is the MO for this crowd. Pathetic.

BTW, is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how, for example, when an alleged right wing fringe lunatic who has leftist tendencies as well commits a horrific act of violence he is labeled a “right winger,” but if it’s a left wing fringe lunatic like Stack who only shares one or two things in common with the right wing (like not being a fan of the IRS) he’s a “mixed bag”? Gotta love it. There is no such thing as a “left wing domestic terrorist,” didntcha know? 8-|

I think the vast majority of Americans now realize that most of the media outlets in this country are nothing more than propaganda outlets for the Far Left Loonies. So I think most Americans no longer give any credibility to silly propaganda like the smear campaign against Brown or Palin or the attempt to link the Austin airplane crasher with the Tea Party. I mean look at the weekly ratings for the news networks, Fox News has just been practically committing genocide against their competitors in those ratings. MSNBCs propaganda didn’t even work in a typical Liberal state like Massachussetts where Brown just kicked Liberal butt from one end of the state to the other.

But still, there is a small core of die-hard, un-medicated, Far Left Loonies in this country who those media outlets cater to. So one has to expect this type of propaganda to continue for some time.

And the more those Leftist propaganda outlets spew out their National Enquirer type work, the more slightly Left leaning Americans swing back to the center of the political spectrum, or even the right. I hope they keep up their “good” work.

  2. Joseph Brown says:

Nowhere have I heard or read that the Texas Flyer was a tea partier. I guess that goes along with their credo that a lie told often enough becomes the truth. Strange how that particular lie popped up about the same time as the CPAC meeting in DC.
The bottom feeding scum suckers know their party is going to be emptied out, if we’re lucky.

Bingo, Joseph! Joseph Goebbels would be proud of our current day media.

maybe the guy could provide some examples of worldnetdaily twisting innocent statements into outright lies.

    :-w

You echoed my thoughts, I.B. Wright. Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is the WND site’s steadfast demand to see BHO’s original birth certificate and for his school records to be unlocked. But in a leftist’s feverish little peanut brain, just QUESTIONING Dear Leader is based on some kind of “lie” — also, it means you’re not chugging down the Obama Kool-aid fast enough.

  6. Dave B says:

It’s getting progressively obvious that the MSM is preaching to an ever shrinking choir.

  7. Dave F says:

Just give the left newies 6 more months and they will be unemployed or will qualify for federal bail out from their leader. Just in time for the election in Nov.

  8. Carlos says:

The “truth” is always relative to a moonbat, therefore anything they say is the “truth.”

It’s when normal people with fixed standards tell the “truth,” though, that’s another matter altogether and, no matter what the veracity of a conservative’s statement, it’s nothing less that a lie and a smear.

Frankly, after reading the idiot’s screed and hearing it read, there’s very little to tie him to the Tea Parties but a whole bunch to tie him to leftist and moonbat movements and assumptions.

BTW, since the shooter in Alabama is apparently a staunch leftist (probably someone who wants to be buried in an Obama T-shirt), can we paint everyone from your moonbat neighbor to the prez himself with that same broad brush and assume they’re all just itching to kill another person or three?
