PHOTO: Chris “thrill up my leg” Matthews takes promoting the DNC to a whole new level

I think this photo of Obama worshipper/informal promoter Chris Matthews pretty much says it all:

Matthews BFD
I'm a walking, talking, breathing DNC campaign ad!

Via Brent Baker at Newsbusters, who has the backstory:

The Hardball host reported β€œthe shirts have temporarily sold out, but,” he boasted as he held up one in front of him, β€œI’ve got my own right here. If you had to ask, extra large. There it is. ‘Health care reform, BFD.’ There it is.”

Matthews, in the β€œPolitical Sideshow” segment on the Friday, April 2 Hardball:

…The Democratic National Committee has turned a lemon into lemonade. They’ve taken the catch phrase, slapped it on a T-shirt and are now selling it online. You too can get your BFD shirt with a donation of $25. It reads: ‘Health Reform, a BFD.’ Just $25 for a piece of delightfully unscripted history. Tonight’s ‘Big Number.’And by the way, the shirts have temporarily sold out, but I’ve got my own right here. If you had to ask, extra large. There it is. ‘Health care reform, BFD.’ There it is.

Up next, the latest example of the far right gone mad. Three dozen governors across the country have received identical threatening letters urging them to resign…

The “BFD”, of course, comes from what were supposed to be off-mic remarks VP Joe Biden made to President Obama shortly after introducing him just moments before signing the healthcare “reform” legislation.

With the size of Matthews’ ego, you’d think he’d need a size much bigger than just XL …
