Islamic clerics: “Jews are murderous donkeys… or something”

Islamic clerics and scholars love to refer to Jews as descended from or related to apes and pigs, a slur rooted in the Qur’an itself. Not satisfied with that, Egyptian “cleric” Muhammad al-Zoghbi compares Jews to donkeys, to be ridden by Pharaoh during their time in Egypt:

From the transcript:

[Pharaoh] would ride a Jew as one might ride a donkey. Let me show you how. Pharaoh would say: “Bring me a Jew, an Israeli.” The he would say to him: “Over here. Bend over and make like a donkey.” The Jew would crouch like a donkey, and Pharaoh would ride on his back, his legs dangling on either side. Sometimes, he would ride him sidesaddle. He would grab him by the collar, and lead him: Giddyup… He would ride him like a donkey because a donkey he is.

We do not encourage such a thing, but I must say that it is due to their sins, arrogance, and conceit that Allah sent enemies to rule them and turn them into donkey underfoot.

But while Jews are donkeys, they’re murderous, bloodthirsty ones that live only for war against peaceful, humble peoples. Don’t take my word for it; just listen to the wise words of another Islamic preacher, Abdallah Samak:

And, in case you don’t understand Arabic (as if I do…):

One of the characteristics of the Jews is that they are outstanding murderers. Who do they kill? If only they killed regular people, but they slayed the prophets. They unjustly slayed the prophets. The Jews are known for their merciless, murderous, and bloodthirsty nature. This is clearly documented in their holy books and writings, without beating about the bush.

[...]

The number one characteristic of the Jews – which appears in the Bible – is that they are always prepared for combat. They believe that it is their fate and destiny to be in a state of perpetual war. This is not what we want. We are seekers of peace and security. We seek to spread love. But we are dealing with a people, a society, that believes that its destiny is linked to war.

Maybe it’s just me, but, if my people were subjected to periodic genocidal massacres and my homeland were surrounded by a bunch of countries that periodically try to destroy it, I might be inclined to be ready for war, too. I’m just sayin’…

Watching those videos, does anyone else get the impression these guys are projecting, just a bit? Samak rants on about warlike Jews, yet it’s the Muslims who keep attacking Israel and blowing up Jews around the world. Meanwhile, Al-Zoghbi accuses the Jews of arrogance, of refusing to assimilate and intermarry. Yet the Qur’an itself proclaims Muslims as the best above all other people and, by implication, the rest as inferior. And intermarriage, the ultimate symbol of assimilation is mostly discouraged for Muslim men and forbidden to Muslim women. (Stephen Schwartz, himself a convert to Islam, in his book The Two Faces of Islam, has an excellent discussion of the purist, separationist aspects of Saudi Islam.)

The struggle between Israel and the Arab countries isn’t a fight over occupied territories or the rights of this or that victim group: it’s a religious war, brought about by a Jew-hatred hardwired into Islam from the beginning and carried on to this day, as you can see. If Israel were to withdraw to its 1948 boundaries, renounce all offensive weapons, and even abandon Jerusalem, their most holy city, they would still be under attack.

But don’t you dare say Islam isn’t a religion of peace and tolerance.

It’s interesting to me that the Jews are alive and flourishing today despite attempts by many different groups to exterminate them over the past several thousand years, who themselves have not been so lucky. This observation prompted a Catholic friend of mine to observe, “those who are against the Jews are against God”. A lesson that obviously various Islamic regimes around the Middle East in general, and Islamic terrorists in particular, have failed to learn.

  2. Zippy says:

Speechless, but not surprised in the least. If it wasn’t so insane a thought, it would be laughable. Those who follow this ‘religion of peace’ (of crap) actually believe this garbage?

  3. Kate says:

While the second guy attests to the fact that he knows the Bible…he gets the message wrong.

Israel will exist in some form until the end of time….God’s promise was to keep a remnant preserved for himself (i.e. the Abrahamic COvenant) and make them a great people. Those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed. This promise was sworn to by God alone.

These fellows will have some pretty big millstones tied around their neck as they are flung into the depths of hell…pity them and pray for them. They are truly lost.

  4. Carlos says:

I can’t help but be impressed that the “religion of peace” has for its most recent major martyrs the 19 September 11 hijackers.

Religion of peace my pig’s hindside!

  5. John A says:

Samak, like many others, ignores a cusp of history. For quite some time, M prayed facing Jerusalem (probably to honor Abraham) and expected the Jewish leaders to join him. It was not until those leaders finally decided not to take up arms on his behalf that he turned to Mecca and began reviling them as traitors and worse.

Not the reasoned position now claimed as constant, but acts of an embittered/rejected suitor.

  6. kem says:

muslims murder more muslims than the jews by far.

  7. Carlos says:

Well, kem, just like blacks kill more blacks because of white racism than whites do, muslims kill more muslims because of nefarious Judaism than Jews kill muslims.

I mean, it’s obvious, isn’t it? Blacks kill more blacks, and it’s all the fault of raaaaciiist whites.

Therefore, muslims kill more muslims because of Jewish oppression. It only makes sense.

And it makes sense only in delusional minds incapable of reasoning.
