NEA: Reading, Writing, and Orgasms??

As Barbara Hollingsworth points out in the Washington Examiner, education funding in the United States has doubled since the Seventies, yet many students are still not reaching basic levels of reading and math.

Not to worry, however, because the National Education Association is concentrating on what’s really important: making sure girls know how to have an orgasm:

A representative of the National Education Association (NEA), the nation’s largest teachers union, recently told attendees at a United Nations conference on the status of women that “oral sex, masturbation, and orgasms need to be taught in education” worldwide. […]

Diane Schneider, the NEA reprepsentative, didn’t explain what such graphic sex education for middle-schoolers has to do with helping women and girls gain access to “education, training, science and technology” – the theme of this year’s Commission on the Status of Women.

I think Barbara is being a bit harsh here. Surely this meets the science goal — at least in biology.

I wonder what’s on the curriculum for PE at these schools: lap dances and pole dancing?

I have to wonder why it is that the left are so hung up on sex to a point where it dominates their thoughts so much.

I can appreciate the joys of sex, but it shouldn’t become the overwhelming drive for everything in your life.

Their attitude toward sexuality is childish.

In business organizations, one can often observe someone who is failing at his primary job attempt to expand his role so that his mission will include things he is *not* failing at.

Same principle applies here….They can’t teach readin’ & writin’ & countin’ but maybe people will not notice so much if they also claim to be teaching lots of other stuff.

And given the ed establishment’s loathing for accountability, this is a fairly safe kind of expansion…it is unlikely that anyone will conduct a followup study comparing the frequency & quality of orgasms among “properly trained” girls vs among those who learned by doing…

And the great part of it for the boys is that those not signed up for Pimping 101 have to volunteer as subjects in the oral sex classes…

The NEA should be shut down for whoring treason and flagrantly making sure the students are dumber than the teachers (no mean task, that).

In what state do they actually do this in right now? I know I never grew up with getting taught anything in a class to that extent. We had one day when boys went in one classroom to talk about puberty and the girls were taught about it in another. They did mention that once we got our period we can become pregnant and it is best NOT to have sex so young. They never got into detail any more than that. As far as I know from other moms they do the same thing there now. That’s a small town school however so I don’t know how different that is here.

Kristy, if that’s all they teach for sex ed, be grateful. The NEA now figures that not only is it their job to teach the children the absolute wonders of amorality, they also have decided it’s their purview to teach them about sex, how to do it, how to prevent pregnancy (in theory), how to have an abortion without one’s parents finding out, the necessity of girls demanding pleasure from the activity (which, according to their guidelines, can only be accomplished with another girl), and the thorough trashing of males who would be presumptuous enough to think sex was supposed to be with the opposite sex.

    Count your blessings.

Can anyone begin to doubt that the NEA and other assorted teachers unions are the next Catholic priest abuse scandal in the making?

So what is it now, No Childrens Behind Left [Alone]?”
