Yep. Sowell is a national treasure. Wonder who will be the voice of reason in economic circles when he is no longer with us.

Thomas Sowell needs to be right upfront and more visible…his well- considered opinions are, more often than not, right and on the money…maybe he’d be good on a Sunday panel or something (like Krauthammer on Bret Baier). Anyway, he’s a treasure, and if you doubt his intellect and ability, just read one or more of his books.

I’ve been a fan of Sowell for years, and would vote for him in a heartbeat for any elected position he would run for.

Unfortunately, he is not a politician, and wouldn’t put himself in the position of being indebted to any donors.

In other words, he would have been the purest of what the Founders envisioned as a “citizen legislator.”

And that, friends, is our loss.

Sowell is fantastic; I have several of his books! Obama has shown contempt for this country from the very first. He and his wife sat in Rev. Wright’s church and listened to bash America rhetoric for 20+ years and until Obama got the Democratic nomination, Michelle was never before proud of her country! The first official act Obama did as president was give an interview to Al Jazeera network, then he traveled around the world apologizing for the USA. Let’s not forget about his refusal to wear the US flag pin…

Now, all of a sudden, he sees America as exceptional? I doubt it. Clarence Thomas wrote that once you define yourself by your race, you will always define yourself by your race. I believe it’s true! Obama used the race card to get elected and now must continue to identify himself by his race. However, I never saw him as black; to me, he was always red. I did the research and knew his Marxist background. I knew he wanted to lower our standard of living so that the third world countries could catch up. He sees himself as a great LEVELER? And like all those who embrace the Marxist ideology, he wants socialism for the masses–but not for him and his cronies. He is not planning to redistribute the wealth from the rich to the poor. He plans to destroy the middle class and any possibility of mobility. The masses live under socialism; the elitists create the rules/laws and live above the fray.

@Brontefan: Excellent, except that the transfer of wealth marxists like Obama want is not from rich to poor, but from some of the rich to themselves. Even they are smart enough to know they cannot create their own wealth, so they have to leave some of the wealth-creators (basically, the ones who cower at the feet of the marxists) so they can continue to be “more equal than others.”

Sowell recognizes this, and has written extensively about it.

What makes everybody think that the 2012 vote will make a difference.
The unions have the vote rigged already with a win for Obama,but not too big as to make people wary.
