VIDEO: Little boy cries over inability to be NJ governor, then gets his wish

This adorable 2009 video, only posted recently on YouTube, went viral a few days ago:

Today, that young man’s wish came true – thanks to NJ Governor Christie:

A boy filmed crying on a YouTube video because he was too small to be governor of New Jersey can wipe away his tears today

Governor Chris Christie made four-year-old Jesse Koczon’s dream come true – for a day.

He will sign a proclamation this afernoon making the boy honorary governor when he comes face to face with the little child who has big political ambitions.

Spokesman Kevin Roberts said: ‘We thought it would be a nice thing to do. It sends a good signal to kids around the state who are public service-minded to keep their dreams alive.’

When Jesse’s mother asked her son on the video why he was crying, Jesse replied, ‘Cause everyone tells me I’m too small to be the governor of New Jersey.’

Asked if he would wait until he had been to college, the boy replied: ‘I am already in college.’

‘You already have the education to be the governor?” asks his mother.’Yes’, responds Jesse. ‘Would you raise property taxes?” she asks.

‘Yes,’ he replies. His mother answers: ‘But then people wouldn’t be happy. You have to say, β€˜I’m going to lower them.’

[…]

Christie later responded on Twitter, writing: ‘Don’t worry Jesse, people gave plenty of reasons why I couldn’t be Governor, though being too small wasn’t one of them.’

Heh. Here’s video of Gov. Christie, Jason, and Jason’s older brother Brandon from earlier today:

Priceless!
