Egyptian cleric: “First, we ask a person nicely to convert.”

**Posted by Phineas

I’ll grant this about Muslim scholar Mazen Al-Sarsawi: at least he’s honest about Islam’s intentions toward non-Muslims. Here’s how it works:

  1. They’ll ask us nicely to convert.
  2. If we don’t convert, they’ll ask us to pay protection money — the jizya [1] poll tax.
  3. If we don’t convert and don’t pay, well, that’s just proof of our evil intentions; they’ll be forced to fight us.

In other words, “It’s not us, kuffar [2]. It’s you.”

But don’t take my word for it; I’ll let al-Sarsawi speak for himself:

Here’s the transcript [3].

Remember folks, it’s not what Islamic supremacists say in public that matters, it’s what they say in Arabic to each other. And bear in mind that this religious racketeer charming cleric is an Egyptian, where the Muslim Brotherhood [4] and allied Salafist [5] groups are poised to play a major role in the new government after the September elections, if not run the government outright.

Yet our government wants to borrow $2 billion to give it to the new Egyptian government, meaning to men like al-Sarsawi [6].

Hmmm… Maybe we’re already at step two.

PS: And did we drop a nuke on Vietnam, but no one told me? Methinks the learned scholar needs to spend less time with the Qur’an and more with the history books.
