Idiotic liberal moral relativism strikes again – Sheila Jackson Lee edition

Why did I have to wake up on a beautiful Saturday morning to read/see this garbage (hat tip)?

( – At a congressional hearing on Muslim radicalization in U.S. prisons, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) said that investigators needed to analyze Christian militants in America because they too might try to “bring down the country.”

In an exchange with witness Patrick Dunleavy, the former deputy inspector of the criminal intelligence unit, New York Department of Correctional Services, Rep. Jackson Lee mentioned the case of a man who blew up an abortion clinic and proposed that this perhaps was an attempt to undermine U.S. law that allows a woman to procure an abortion.

Rep. Lee then said, “As we look to be informational, we should include an analysis of how Christian militants or others might bring down the country. We have to look broadly, do we not?”

Dunleavy answered: “I don’t know that Christian militants have foreign country backing or foreign country financing.”

Lee then said, “I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue is whether or not their intent is to undermine the laws of this nation. And I think it is clear that that is the case. So it’s not — your distinction is not answering the question.”

Video of the exchange:

Dunleavy is right and his point is very relevant, contra to Jackson Lee’s petty protestations to the contrary. There’s no evidence of foreign country backing or foreign country financing – for that matter, there’s no evidence of domestic country backing or financing … because it doesn’t exist. As I’ve said many times before in response to the absurd attempts liberals make at morally equating fundamentalist Christians with Islamists:

You read reprehensible stories like this, and you scream out in outrage – yet at the first sound you make about how this is just one more example of the type of “acceptable” behavior that is prevelant amongst Islamists, someone on the left will jump in angrily and demand that you “acknowledge” that morally repulsive behavior like this is not characteristic of Islam on the whole – that acts like these are committed “only by a militant few.” Which is a lie. Yet, you have a few isolated incidents of extremist “Christian/right wing” (or whatever they’re calling it today) violence here in the US this year, and all of a sudden it’s a “widespread problem,” and one that “proves” what “they’ve” been saying all along about us crazy right-wingers, and as a result, we must be “watched a little closer” by DHS.

That the left can’t see the differences between a few acts of radical extremist fringe violence here in the US committed by lone, depraved sociopaths, and the worldwide, almost weekly incidents of Islamofascism committed against innocent civilians – some that are terrorist acts against the west, while others “acceptable” acts of “punishment” for Muslim men and women who allegedly have “broken” Islamic “law” – says a hell of a lot more about the left in this country than it does the right in terms of perspective and the ability to distinguish between good and evil and isolated versus epidemic.

From an October 2010 post – same issue:

There is no issue that brings out the blatant hypocrisy, illogic, stupidity, and duplicitous nature of activist liberals more than when it comes to Christianity and the left’s outrageous attempts at equating rare and isolated incidents of extremism committed because of the mistaken belief by a tiny few wackos that the Bible promotes violence against non-believers, to the routine, worldwide Islamofascistic terrorism that is both promoted and mandated by the Koran itself.

And lastly:

Isolated acts of “Christian” extremism are typically committed by loner types or small groups of disturbed individuals who have grossly perverted the word of God into something it is not: A call to arms against non-believers. In the Christian faith, there is no “punisher” of non-believers here on earth.  ”The decider” – so to speak – is God Himself.  There is no growing global, thriving network of Christian extremists plotting, scheming, recruiting by the thousands, intimidating, terrorizing, killing so-called “infidels.” On the other hand, the decades-old organized Islamofascism network has a number of “leaders” worldwide – the most infamous of course being Osama bin Laden, and their bases are scattered throughout Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and most anywhere else the Islamic faith prevails, because the Koran specifically gives the green light to Muslim believers to take up arms against non-believers, using any means necessary.

Rep. Jackson Lee and her other liberal moral relativist pals need to get real. Too bad there isn’t enough money in the world to buy any of them even half of a clue.

There are two favorites of the moonbats to bring up – McVeigh and the Tiller killer.

McVeigh was an avowed atheist, and the Tiller killer was widely condemned by even Christian extremists.

And to top it all off, McVeigh was also a Nazi, which is a socialist, which is what Jackson Lee is, which, I suppose by her logic makes her a terrorist that should be investigated…

  2. John Bibb says:

Shaila Jackson–Lee–aka Texas’s answer to Cynthia McKinney–strikes out again. Maybe too much toxic hair preps and too tight a bun is warping her brain!
Another corrupt clueless liberal / socialist / marxist / communist clown politician elected and reelected by a bunch of racist losers in her district.
I wish she would leave my Texas and move to New York, Kalifornia, or Taxachusetts where she would fit in a lot better. She’s giving the Lone Star State a bad name.

  3. ELL857 says:

Well gee wiz somebody had to assume the mantle of stupidest woman in congress after Crazy Cyndi (D-Ga) left.

  4. mike191 says:

“..stuck on stupid..”and/or “liberalism is cultural relativism..”, applies here. However, the island of Guam has not tipped over at this juncture.

  5. Tom TB says:

Muslims attacked the World Trade Center 2/26/93, with the intention to destroy the Twin Towers. Muslims attacked the World Trade Center 9/11/01, and did destroy the Twin Towers. There is no domestic or international group of Christians who would ever plot, fund, and carry out such a murderous act on anyone, anywhere. Sheila Jackson Lee should not be in Congress because she refuses to identify our commom enemy.

  6. Papa Whiskey says:

Sheila Jackson Lee represents the 18th District of Texas, a racial gerrymander in Houston. In addition to being a radical leftist demagogue, she is a tyrant to work for — her staffers describe her as a ranting, cursing harridan:

  7. PE says:

Sheila knows this: prison converts to islam are black and therefore they are good and those christians who oppose the evil they do are white and therefore they are bad and she knows this because she has the power.

  8. Carlos says:

Jackson Lee-types are the only animals on earth that will knowingly and purposely set out to destroy the human race.

And don’t tell me about lemmings. They do not knowingly set out to kill themselves, they just follow what their instincts tell them to do.

Lordy, I just discovered that lemmings are smarter than liberals!

  9. Drew the Infidel says:

PE commendably has the guts to say it. Having worked in a Texas prison (Smith Unit), the inmates who claim Islamic faith are black. The other black inmates derisively call them “Taliban folk”. It fits with their culture of discontent, the same as Lee.

  10. Bill G says:

Could Congresscritter Lee have been considering as a “Christian militant” the chap who shouted out from his pulpit “G-d Bless America? No, no, G-d Damn America”?

  11. Joseph Brown says:

You have to wonder, who’s the stupidist, the Lees, Franks, Kucinchs, or the voters who continue to keep them in DC.
Maybe the voters would prefer to keep them in DC so they won’t screw up their home state.

  12. Jim McDonald says:

After Katrinia, many of the people were sent to Houston, TX., and the Red Cross came out to help. At the main service center, Ms. Lee complained – to the Red Cross – that they needed more ‘Black’ volunteers helping – since there were none.

She was not making a joke.

  13. Carlos says:

The voters aren’t the ones who are stupid, Mr. Brown. They get exactly what they’re voting for, someone who says all the right things to heap mud on “the man” and continue to redistribute a minimal amount of producers’ money to the “victims” of the man’s abhorrent racism and bigotry while keeping her just amount of vigorish to compensate her for having to endure being around all them old white folk that are still treating her and hers as slaves.

In other words, it’s “the man” who is stupid enough to allow such a thief, liar and traitor to continue in such a position.

  14. Kate says:

I concur with Carlos….the people in her district heartily approve of what she says. She will stay in Congress because she keeps sending dollars back to the district in the form of government programs and welfare, social security and now Obamacare.

She holds sway over them in this way and can use this as a scare tactic whenever anyone tries to interject fiscal/personal responsibility on the part of her constituents to better themselves instead of waiting for a handout.

PErsonally, I think she should face some kind of censure since what she said is so offensive to many of the American Christian Culture. What about that form of diveristy?

  15. Carlos says:

Because of what you said, and the way you said it, Kate, yours was hate speech. Hers was obviously simple observation because, well, she’s a member of so many victim groups she just couldn’t be a participant in stupid vitriolic misdirectional rhetoric.

Besides, she’s an elected representative and they are entitled to stupid vitriol any time they please, and we peasants who have to suffer because of their arrogance can just shut up.
