Friday Face-Off: Jake Tapper vs. Jay Carney – guess who wins?

ABC News’ senior WH Correspondent Jake Tapper strikes again, this time taking Obama administration spoxdude Jay Carney to task over non-sensical claims made by the President Obama on defaulting on the national debt. Read the exchange here or, for your viewing pleasure, you can watch it here:

Hot Air is all over the latest developments and posturing continuing to take place between President Pouty Face, and Congressional Republicans and Democrats. Suffice it to say that the divide between the two sides is as wide as it ever was. Bluffs have been called. WH talking points are being rehashed. Those seemingly on the same side are at cross-purposes.

It ain’t good, folks.

Grab the popcorn. The next two weeks are gonna be very interesting. Will likely make the July 4th fireworks pale in comparison.

God Bless Jake Tapper. It is only a matter of time before ABC gets rid of him tho.

Also, does Jay Carney actually know what he is talking about?? I find it odd when their side talk about what our side has done in the past to justifty their crazed need for power. Helloooo Jay we are talking about the here and now!! We are tired of you guys constantly using all the funds available everytime the debt limit gets raised.

Just stop this talk lets just see what happens when the Gov can only spend what it has coming in. – Lorica

How can it have a “negative effect” on an economy that’s stinkin’- dead, freakin’-rotten bad-as it-can-get to begin with? And the dipwad and his boss don’t even see that because they’re too busy dreaming up spins and making sure the TOTUS is working properly for Duh-1’s next speech?

And oh, BTW, when the totally unbiased Carney (that used to be short for “carnival barker, but I’ll let that one go for a while) failed to mention it was his boss who three short years ago was lecturing his predecessor in the WH that it is irresponsible to raise the debt ceiling, why wasn’t anyone all over THAT?

I think someone else hit the nail on the head when they said that “these people talk for hours and say nothing”.
I think that sums up all politicians. At the Moment it would be very hard to find anyone in Government that was sincerely worried about the country.

They are worried, captain. I mean, if they can’t keep stealing our money, what’re they gonna do to keep up their lavish self-enrichment program?

It never occurs to them that it really isn’t a bottomless well, and, contrary to what they act like, it’s OUR money, not theirs.
