Weekend Open Thread

Got an exciting evening ahead. Will be heading out with friends to look at some Christmas lights around the city, including making a trip into Concord to see the Speedway’s Christmas lights display. Should be fun.

I’m going to the gun range today — gonna use a handgun for the first time in my life. I’m excited :)

Went out and saw the “major” displays here in our own version of Moscow with the grandkids last night.

Some neighbors had complained about the major one after last year, so in the interest of community harmony they pretty well made it about half of what they’ve done in the past. Too many gawkers, the neighbors said. I’d like to get a list of them and personally boycott their businesses, but the records aren’t public. Too bad. It was a real good display that centered on Christmas and the birth of the Christ. No wonder some people were offended by it!

Silly me. Here I thought this was all done because it is was the right thing to do. You know, apolitical. It’s good to know that the AP is out there to bring me back to my senses.

…@Neo – it is clear to anyone who has watched that Barry’s core beliefs are Marxist. However, watch him do or say anything that he (or his handlers) believe will help him pull the wool over voter eyes and get him another four years in which to finish off our nation.
