I fully understand the urge that many minorities in this country feel to participate in our system of government, which is not a Democracy as most people believe, but is in fact, a Republic. I’m not going to mince words here and try to align myself with all the politically correct idiots in the world. Yes, this country is made up of many people, from many different backgrounds and many different countries. Given that History of America, the only race that has not been able to assimilate into the fabric of this great country is Blacks. I refuse to call them African-Americans, because they are not African-Americans. They are Americans, just like you and I. But of all the people who have made it to these sacred shores, they are the only ones who have never found their place here. All the other strange people who came here from strange lands, found a way to make a home here. They assimilated. They found a way to make life work in this new country. In doing so, they enriched American life as we know it. Ever go to New York and visit, “Little Italy?” Yes, it is totally Italian, but at the same time it is totally American.

I am well aware of the sins upon black people that my relatives of previous generations have visited upon these people. My question is simple. How long do we, as individuals who had nothing to do with it, have to pay for it?

I am totally sick of this polite game we play with the Black people in this country. They contribute absolutely nothing to this country. Instead, they suck this country dry by their dependency on welfare. They vote Democratic. What a surprise.
Please email me the first time black people in this country actually contribute something that makes this country better. And don’t tell me Obama was something they gave us that made this country better. I could shoot myself

The Williams brothers were sent to prison for their actions. The reason why the Zimmerman-Martin case has continued to be such a lightning rod is because Zimmerman has not been charged, and the view by many that someone claiming self-defense can avoid any accountability.

Consider if a black man patrolling the streets had gunned down an unarmed 17-year-old white boy wearing Dockers and a polo shirt.

BLOOD BANK
The idea of a blood bank was pioneered by Dr. Charles Richard Drew (1904-1950). Dr. Drew was an African-American medical doctor and surgeon who started the idea of a blood bank and a system for the long term preservation of blood plasma (he found that plasma kept longer than whole blood). His ideas revolutionized the medical profession and saved many, many lives. Dr. Drew set up and operated the blood plasma bank at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, NY. Drew’s project was the model for the Red Cross’ system of blood banks, of which he became the first director.

CARVER, GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington Carver (1865?-1943) was an American scientist, educator, humanitarian, and former slave. Carver developed hundreds of products from peanuts, sweet potatoes, pecans, and soybeans; his discoveries greatly improved the agricultural output and the health of Southern farmers. Before this, the only main crop in the South was cotton. The products that Carver invented included a rubber substitute, adhesives, foodstuffs, dyes, pigments, and many other products.

CRUM, GEORGE
The potato chip was invented in 1853 by George Crum. Crum was a Native American/African American chef at the Moon Lake Lodge resort in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA. French fries were popular at the restaurant and one day a diner complained that the fries were too thick. Although Crum made a thinner batch, the customer was still unsatisfied. Crum finally made fries that were too thin to eat with a fork, hoping to annoy the extremely fussy customer. The customer, surprisingly enough, was happy – and potato chips were invented!

DORTICUS, CLATONIA JOAQUIN
Clatonia Joaquin Dorticus was an African-American inventor who received many patents. He invented an apparatus for applying dyes to the sides of the soles and heels of shoes (patent # 535,820, March 19, 1895), a machine for embossing (contouring the paper of) photographs (patent # 537,442, April 16, 1895), a device that helped develop photographs (patent # 537,968, April 23, 1895), and a leak stopper for hoses (patent # 629,315, July 18, 1899).

GAS MASK
The gas mask was invented by Garrett Morgan, an African-American inventor. Morgan used his gas mask (patent No. 1,090,936, 1914) to rescue miners who were trapped underground in a noxious mine. Soon after, Morgan was asked to produce gas masks for the US Army.

GOODE, SARAH S.
Sarah E. Goode was a businesswoman and inventor. Goode invented the folding cabinet bed, a space-saver that folded up against the wall into a cabinet. When folded up, it could be used as a desk, complete with compartments for stationery and writing supplies. Goode owned a furniture store in Chicago, Illinois, and invented the bed for people living in small apartments. Goode’s patent was the first one obtained by an African-American woman inventor (patent #322,177, approved on July 14, 1885).

LATIMER, LEWIS H.
Lewis Howard Latimer (1848-1928) was an African-American inventor who was a member of Edison’s research team, which was called “Edison’s Pioneers.” Latimer improved the newly-invented incandescent light bulb by inventing a carbon filament (which he patented in 1881).

MAILBOX
The street letter drop mailbox with a hinged door that closed to protect the mail was invented by Philip B. Downing. Downing, an African-American inventor, patented his new device on October 27, 1891 (US Patent # 462,093).

McCOY, ELIJAH
Elijah McCoy (1843 or 1844-1929) was a mechanical engineer and inventor. McCoy’s high-quality industrial inventions (especially his steam engine lubricator) were the basis for the expression “the real McCoy,” meaning the real, authentic, or high-quality thing.

RILLIEUX, NORBERT
Norbert Rillieux (March 17, 1806-October 8, 1894) was an African-American inventor and engineer who invented a device that revolutionized sugar processing. Rillieux’s multiple effect vacuum sugar evaporator (patented in 1864) made the processing of sugar more efficient, faster, and much safer. The resulting sugar was also superior. His apparatus was eventually adopted by sugar processing plants all around the world.

TRAFFIC SIGNAL
Garrett Augustus Morgan (March 4, 1877 – August 27, 1963), was an African-American inventor and businessman. He was the first person to patent a traffic signal. He also developed the gas mask (and many other inventions). Morgan used his gas mask (patent No. 1,090,936, 1914) to rescue miners who were trapped underground in a noxious mine. Soon after, Morgan was asked to produce gas masks for the US Army.

In a NY Times interview African-American studies Professor, Dr.Weldon McWilliams of Cheyney University in Pennsylvania told the Times that Wrigley (the makers of Skittles) should invest in communities where “murder based on stereotypes is a reoccurring theme.” He also said:

“If they do not, African-Americans should not be promoting the product.”

How many more people can we shake down over this?

The reason the Trayvon murder is extraordinary is because the shooter remains free and there was barely any investigation conducted by the police. That is where the anger comes from. All these other comparisons with other hypothetical shootings don’t make sense. If a black guy shot a white guy wearing Dockers and a polo shirt i would hope the police would arrest the shooter and conduct a full investigation..

It is humorous to me on one level, because I have so many friends from many cultures, including those of the black race. The black people I know think Obama is an idiot. They think him and people like him are an impediment to their chance at succeeding in America. And they are right. How could they not be right? His only purpose for being here is to destroy America. But then, my black friends have college degrees. They have a different opinion. Oddly, they don’t wear Hoodies.

Carlos, it is certainly true what you say. This world we live in has indeed become a dangerous place where a man’s life could be worth no more than twenty dollars to the right person. Obviously, no one in their right mind would carry out the experiment I suggested. I only made the comment because of all the people in our society who call you a racist the very moment you point out the reality of the criminal element that exists in certain minority populations. Most notably, Blacks and Hispanics. It’s the very first tool that Liberals pull from their handy little kit of tricks, because they know it works. As I have often stated, I am a self-admitted racist, but my racism is not based so much on skin color as behavior. I treat people the way they behave. It’s just that simple. I know white people who I would sooner spit on than enjoin in conversation. On the other hand, I have many black and hispanic friends who are like family to me. In fact, my first wife was Mexican. Three of my children are half Mexican. My current wife is Chinese and we have one son. He’s what we call ABC. American Born Chinese. Folks, race is not the issue. It never was. You could be a Martian and still live peacefully in this country, side by side with all the other strange people from all over this world. It’s not about race. It’s about behavior.

Because Liberals have a singular affinity for distorting the truth and rewriting History. It’s what they do best. As an exercise, I went through about the first fifteen of your supposed listings of Black accomplishments. I found about half of them to be untrue. There is no question whatsoever, that the remaining fifty per cent of inventions or accomplishments by black Americans you listed should be a celebration by all of us, that a people who originally came here as slaves, would grow out of slavery and by the shear force of human dignity and the inventive nature of human beings should rise to be the equal of their former masters. I applaud anyone who by the pure strength of his being, achieves what no one thought possible of him. It is what feeds the dreams of this Republic. It is what our Founders thought us capable of. It is why they argued and fought over the exact wording of The Constitution. It was nothing more than a Boy Scout Handbook on Freedom. And this current President and this current Supreme Court and millions of Americans who would rather watch television, have no idea of the turning point this nation is about to endure. We are two ticks away from becoming a Communist Nation. And here we are arguing with each other on the difference in our personalities and whether you are more conservative than me. We’re really spending our time well, aren’t we?
