Quote of the Day: Our Imperial EPA Edition
**Posted by Phineas
EPA regional administrator A. Armendariz demonstrates the proper demeanor of a public servant toward the public:
I was in a meeting once and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of enforcement. βItβs kind of like how the Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean: theyβd go into little Turkish towns somewhere, theyβd find the first five guys theyβd run into, and theyβd crucify them and then, you know, that town was really easy to manage over the next few years.
And yet progressives wonder why most of the country thinks the federal government is a threat to their liberties. But that shouldn’t surprise us, since progressives think like Mr. Armendariz — that “the state knows best, so get out of the way, peasant!” They’re just not (usually) as openly brutal about it.
People in EPA region six region, beware.
