National #ChickfilA Appreciation Day now underway

Have you been there yet today?

ATLANTA –  Supporters of Chick-fil-A are planning to eat at restaurants in the chicken chain as the company continues to be criticized for an executive’s comments about gay marriage.

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister, declared Wednesday national “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”

[…]

Opponents of the company’s stance are planning “Kiss Mor Chiks” for Friday, when they are encouraging people of the same sex to show up at Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country and kiss each other.

I’m going to try and get there by lunch today. If not, after work for dinner. :- )

My office group is chowing down on Chick-Fil-A nuggets and carrot salad for lunch today. Yum!

How juvenile. And I bet these schmucks don’t know or don’t care that many Chick-Fil-As are franchises and that the actual owners may not agree with Mr. Cathy’s opinion. They’re just taking an immature pleasure from being (they think) outrageous.

Chick Fil A in Lexington, SC ran out of biscuits this morning. Busiest I’ve ever seen them.

    What Phineas said.
They also don’t know or don’t care that a lot of these franchises have playscapes for the kids. Where’s the deference to them? Do they not look at this as just a little bit inappropriate? Or does the fabulous and outrageous “shock value” rule the day?

PDA’s oh, how awful! Can we have the church lady appear and do his schtick? This has to prove the maturity level of these folks. Of course, I think Chik-Fil-A is run by a very level headed group of grown ups who will just laugh it off because basically it proves a point about who is protesting!

Did my part about an hour and 15 minutes ago. The drive-up line went completely around the building and it was SRO inside.

The mere fact that Chicago, and other Liberal bastions, are considering sanctioning Chick-fil-A for it’s CEO voicing his own personal opinion publicly is the biggest threat to democracy and free speech we have faced in generations.

No one should be punished by any government in this country for voicing an opinion that runs counter to those beliefs of the political party on power at the moment.

    To do so is un-American!!!
