#GOP2012 final night: Get ready for Gingrich, Rubio, Eastwood and – of course – Romney

It’s the last night – the biggest one of the GOP Convention, where Mitt Romney will formally accept the Republican nomination for President.  Here’s tonight’s line-up of speakers:

7 p.m.
• Convention convenes
• Call to order
• Introduction of Colors US Central Command Joint Forces Color Guard Team
• Pledge of Allegiance by Dylan Nonaka
• National Anthem sung by SEVEN
• Invocation by Ken and Priscilla Hutchins
• Remarks by U.S. Rep. Connie Mack (FL)
• Reagan Legacy Video
• Remarks by Newt and Callista Gingrich
• Remarks by Craig Romney

8 p.m.
• Remarks by Governor former Jeb Bush (FL)
• Remarks by Bob White, chairman of Romney for President campaign
• Remarks by Grant Bennett
• Remarks by Tom Stemberg

9 p.m.
• Remarks by former Massachusetts Lt. Governor Kerry Healey
• Remarks by Jane Edmonds, former Massachusetts Secretary of Workforce
• Remarks by Olympians Michael Eruzione, Derek Parra and Kim Rhode

10 p.m.
• Remarks by U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (FL)
• Remarks by presidential nominee Mitt Romney
• Benediction by Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan
• Speaker Boehner declares convention adjourned

Clint Eastwood is reportedly the “mystery guest” the GOP has been teasing all week, and will speak after 10. Perhaps before Rubio, or perhaps before Romney. It’s unclear.  Either way, if you can’t get to a TV you can watch it via News 14’s livestream.

Hopefully tonight will be as exciting and inspiring as the last two nights.  Condi Rice absolutely rocked the house last night – and it goes without saying that Paul Ryan did the same.  I’m feeling really good about Romney/Ryan’s chances going into the final stretch, but am also bracing myself for even worse from the Obama campaign than we’ve previously seen these last few months.  As I’ve written before, next week at the DNC will be a “War On Women” homage to abortion, and a hatefest towards so-called “patriarchal” Republicans, and it will not be a pretty sight. I just hope the people watching will be smart enough to see through it – or at least smart enough to question it.

Hey, a girl can dream – right?
