Wait a minute. How about that feller who hanged himself the same day in the team equipment room? Please write to your congressman. We must ban ropes, shoelaces, belts, chains, anything of that nature. The second amendment doesn’t give approval for ropes so we can ban that stuff right away.

The culture of violence in the NFL is the real elephant in the room. Costas would’ve been more acceptable editorializing on that. And giving such a huge audience to some columnist that no one ever heard of or cared about may end up hurting him. Whitlock continues to make outrageous statements that Costas is now linked to.

My only surprise in all this is that Costas seems to be the only one at NBC who has taken up the gauntlet of discarding the Constitution in favor of arming criminals. Seems to me everyone there (and, of course, at PMSNDC) should be panting and having orgasms about the opportunity to exploit this tragedy.

But, as was pointed out by several on talk radio today, the guy (Belcher) was a walking behemoth who had no need of a gun if he had really wanted to kill the woman anyway. One can only surmise that the call for gun restrictions is strictly to remove a danger to the government (which is why the amendment is there in the first place, for all you big-guv lovers) because it sure ain’t to keep folks from killing each other.

Bob Costas, who prizes himself as the fount of all knowledge, is paraphrasing from Jason Whitlock who was uncermoniously fired from his job at the Kansas City Star. What a source! To flip the original argument, if Kasandra Perkins had had a weapon she may very well still be alive and Belcher would be dead according to his suicidal wishes anyway. But we all knew it would be a very short matter of time before some ill-qualified NBC leftist would be wallowing in the blood of innocent Americans in order to advocate for limiting the constitutional rights of other innocent Americans.

Twitter exploded when Costas decided to do his anti-gun preaching.

I know a lot of people couldn’t stand Costas before, but I was one who didn’t mind him, only when he was discussing baseball. Outside of that I could have done without him. Now I just can’t listen to him — ever.
