Hilarity Alert: Senator-elect Warren won’t be on Senate’s Indian Affairs Committee

Hehehe! Via the Daily Caller‘s Patrick Howley (hat tip: @GaltsGirl):

Democratic Massachusetts Senator-elect Elizabeth Warren will not serve on the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs in the next Congress, insiders on Capitol Hill confirm.

North Dakota Senator-elect Heidi Heitkamp has been appointed to serve on the Indian Affairs Committee, The Hill reported Tuesday.

Warren, a self-identified Cherokee who listed herself as a Native American in the American Association of Law Schools Directory in 1984 before getting hired at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law Schools, told reporters this year that she knew of her ancestry because her “papaw” had “high cheekbones, like all of the Indians do.”

Tweak, tweak! ;)

While that is indeed funny, what’s not so humorous is that Warren ‘was given a seat on the Banking Committee, which has jurisdiction over Wall Street regulation and oversight’:

Warren was the chief architect of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which was created by the Dodd-Frank financial reform law, and has long been a critic of Wall Street and big banks.

Look for the Wall Street/anti-capitalism bullying to continue with Warren on board. We should laugh at her now, and fight her like crazy in the arena of ideas once she officially takes office.

To be continued …
