As someone said, if a maniac was determined to commit mass murder he/she will find a way.

Now imagine another Timothy McVey. He blew up the federal building in Oklahoma. Suppose the school house in Newtown was blown up because no guns were available to the murderer. The toll would have been much,much greater.

We will never be safe even if all guns, knives, explosives, automobiles, snakes, alligators, hammers, chain saws and what have you were pernmanently removed. The only answer is to allow us to defend ourselves.

I wonder how many of the parents of those killed at the school also possess a weapon at home? Are they also guilty then if their son or daughters murder?

Following this tragedy the left was calling for the murder of all NRA members. Gee what were they going to use to commit this mass murder. Tooth picks? Muslims uses box cutters to kill 3000 Americans on 911. If someone wants to kill others, they will find a way. Being able to defend ones self is a second amendment right. Too bad these poor souls didn’t have a chance to defend themselves. Not even a stun gun or baseball bat. What good did calling 911 do? Maybe the cops arrived in time to save more lives but by then 26 were gone. And when this crazed person finally met up with someone pointing a gun at him, he took his own life. He knew he would have free reign once inside the school. So sad.

However, school districts in Texas are allowed to employ and certify their own police officers. I’m attaching the link to the Katy (TX) Independent School District’s Police Department and it’s FAQ section. It’s pretty clear what they can do according to state statute:
