Well... I always felt that declaration of support and the resignation was one of those presidential endorsements that's really a kiss of death. At the time it happened, the late Bob Novak described it as a "sacking." Rumsfeld was probably given the option of resigning to salve his pride.

It should come as no surprise to hear that politicians can get away with ineptitude and dishonesty. We have been conditioned as a nation to expect this from our "leaders", going back to 5th grade when the candidate that won the election for student body president was the one who promised the most stuff that he couldn't possibly supply (coke in the drinking fountains, etc.) Teachers and administration at the time seemed to think it was funny or cute but now, many years later, when I see the fruit of that support for unaccountability, I can't help but winder how much of it is part of a grand plan. After all, if you want to brainwash millions of people into low expectations, there is no better place to start than elementary school. The people responsible for teaching our children and the teacher's unions and all their supporters certainly aren't erring on the side of conservatism, honor or responsibility. If I am right, this is going to be very hard to turn around.

Never forget: Accountability is for Republicans, not the government.

In eons future, they may discover the depth of deception of this administration (and, to be fair, the "W" and Billy-Bub ones, too), but I doubt it. And why would any academic or LSM autobot be interested in uncovering "The Truth?" It would undoubtedly run contrary to their character and narrative.

If the commiecrats air a campaign ad accusing Romney of being complicit in the death of a guy's wife because Bain Capital took over the failing steel mill where he worked (and he lost his wife's health care coverage due to his own poor choices), it will be interesting to see how things play out in 2016 when voters are reminded of the fact Shrillary actually does have the blood of four innocent Americans on her hands.
