As in Korea and Vietnam, Russia would like nothing better than another proxy war with us. To their undying credit, Israel has a history of not sitting around waiting for whatever fate somebody else (Hezbollah, Hamas, Lebanon, Syria, etc.) dreams up for them to occur.
