#WhineAlert: Democrats upset over existence of Capitol Hill debt clock

You can’t make this up:

During a House Financial Services Committee hearing Tuesday on the budget, two Democrats complained after House Financial Services Committee chairman Jeb Hensarling instructed that two monitors in the hearing room display a real-time running national debt clock.

California Rep. Maxine Waters and Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison both issued complaints about the displays, according to video of the hearing.

“Clearly it is a political prop designed to message ideologically,” Ellison said.

Waters asked that the debt clock not be on display whenever Democrats spoke, Hensarling said during the hearing.

“At the request of the ranking member, the national debt clock will not be put on the screens during Democratic time,” said Hensarling, a Texas Republican.

I dunno. If I were Waters or Ellison, I’d be more upset that I’d contributed all I did to cause the debt to skyrocket in the first place than I was over the existence of the clock itself. Oh wait, maybe that’s why they didn’t like it there to begin with, because they understand it’s a stark, glaring reminder of their rampant culpability. In reality, they’ll never openly admit to their role, which is – of course – part of the problem. They actually don’t care about their part in this at all. As far as they’re concerned, “the rich” should solve all of our debt problems via higher taxes. There is no such thing as “too much spending” to far leftists like Ellison and Waters.

And speaking of Ellison, if you didn’t watch Hannity last night, you missed Ellison at his absolute worst. Click here for the fireworks.

There are many more Congressional jackwads who do not want any public reminders of the debt crisis. These two are the most vocal because they are the most frantic; the massive debt is part and parcel of their political agenda.

“At the request of the ranking member, the national debt clock will not be put on the screens during Democratic time,” said Hensarling, a Texas Republican.

‘Because the ranking member doesn’t want anyone to know how bad things have become with Democrats in charge, we won’t be showing the debt clock during Democrat time; however, we will be putting it up on every screen in the chamber during Republican time,’ said Nate, a Wisconsin conservative who’s fed up.

Perhaps to Maxine and to Keith the debt clock is like water to the wicked witch!!!

This is so Maxine and Keith could rightfully be puddles of feces, then, instead of walking globs of feces, maybe? Whatever, they are pig feces in either case.
