You know the liberal media is desperate to support Obama when…

"Under state control"

“Under state control”

They misquote their own stories to spread administration propaganda:

This morning on Politico’s Playbook, [Mike] Allen quoted a story from his own website:

“Monday, the bulk of the furlough notices will start going out. … [E]stimates include 12 furlough days at the Bureau of Prisons, 13 at the Environmental Protection Agency and 15 at the Agriculture Department. Forced days off will mean cuts in annual pay of about 10 percent. Uniformed military personnel as well as employees … ‘Everything hits the fan on April 1,’ said Scott Lilly, former Democratic staff director to the House Appropriations Committee.

From reading that, you’d imagine that uniformed military and employees will be furloughed. There’s only one problem. The original article at Politico, by Darren Samuelsohn and Ginger Gibson, says precisely the opposite:

“Uniformed military personnel as well as employees at the Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Postal Service are exempt from the furloughs.”

The bold portion had been replaced by an ellipsis, totally changing the meaning of the sentence. That’s not journalism, that’s a memo from the Ministry of Truth.

Is it any wonder that the public’s trust in the major media is tanking?

Oh, I don’t know – when the sun comes up?

    Did I win?

The regime has overplayed its hand and misread the tea leaves. There are millions of people in the voting public who realize by now they are being trifled with. And they share the same sentiments of not liking it nor liking those who practice it. They also do not like how it feels and, as a result, do not pull such tawdry shenanigans on others. In a word, backlash.

If the members of the LSM have the basic intelligence required to at least tie their own shoes, they cannot help but have the sneaking suspicion Obhammud is a small-minded, selfish, conceited little worm who calls himself a man. His dominant thought is “ME!”.

If 12, 13 or 15 furlough days equal an “approximately” 10% cut in annual income, one can assume people in those departments/agencies are only working “approximately” 120, 130 or 150 days a year!

Fer cryin’ out loud! No wonder the guvmint is so malfunctional. If those folks worked in the real world and had jobs that required real production, taxes could probably be cut by 25% and there’d be no national debt.

And there is maybe a red herring in the “furloughs” that are being given out, too. Last I knew, the last time this happened all those “furloughed” folks ended up getting an unscheduled paid vacation instead.

Lastly, there are a few places where it might be a really, really good thing if the furloughs were permanent, like at the EPA.

The media is so sad at this point. The goal is just to support Obama, no matter what.

Thank goodness Bob Woodward is starting to get it. Of course, it will benefit him as well. Woodward has to know that the juicy tipsters are going to be coming to him now, because the MSM won’t listen to anybody if it’s bad news about their demi-god. In fact, there may be 4 years worth of good tips that have been ignored. He may have a deluge of good stuff.

Um…I don’t think the public gets it. I really don’t…..my liberal friend is sick of politics after the election and doesn’t listen. She is just glad Obama is in. Keep up the good work. Our job to spead the truth is never ending!
