In scanning the headlines over at Memeorandum [1] I came across this one [2], which immediately stood out – for obvious reasons to anyone familiar with former President Bill Clinton’s reputation for cheating on his wife and, in general, being an all around player:
But when you click on the link to the story itself [3], you get this headline:
And the URL reads this way: “bill-clinton-counseled-ashley-judd-senate-race-potential”
LOL …
I’d bet the headline edit to take out the words “reaches out” was intentional, because a whole lot of wisecracks could be made about that headline – given not only Clinton’s notorious history with women, but also considering Ashley Judd’s penchant for gushing over Democrat politicos to the point she sounds like a teenage girl with a crush. But even if it wasn’t, I suspect Daily Caller’s Jim Treacher is right on the mark here [4] with his speculation as to why Bill Clinton wants two female Democrats (the other is Kentucky Sec. of State Alison Lundergan Grimes) to give it a go for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s seat in Kentucky:
Bill Clinton wants to see some girl-on-girl action in Kentucky[.]
Regarding the Senate race, I mean. Why, what did you think I was talking about?
Oh, I dunno …
Some things never change.
