Here is food for thought on the gun control issue, items no meida outlet, LSM or otherwise are addressing:
In the Boston Marathon bombing, the oldest of the two had a domestic violence incident on his record which is a permanent bar to weapons ownership while the younger one is only 19, below the minimum legal age of 21.
Evan Ebel, the late ex-con who murdered the CO prisons chief with a handgun, was a convicted felon and barred for life from owning a weapon. Also, having been incarcerated and not drawing a paycheck, where did he find the money to be able to drive that Cadillac he had? The car is legal but odd under the circumstances.
Laws already on the books were obviously not enforced. Does our government really need additional laws to ignore while at the same time taking a hatchet to the Constitution?
In light of the Boston massacre… it begs the question, BEFORE we rush into amnesty for 20+ million illegals who are in the country with their anchor babies… it is very obvious that our legal immigration program is flawed and needs to be redressed. Drew is right on target: many laws are ignored…including the immigration laws. People here breaking our laws, even if it’s merely here illegally, need to have consequences—and I don’t mean “amnesty.” Why is there such a rush to dump 20+ million illegals into our system? To vote for Democrats? To vote for socialization? In the 1986 Law, it was meant to be a ONE TIME ONLY amnesty, and it’s been amended no less than 3 times. Rewarding illegal or negative behavior is only guaranteeing MORE of the same. One has to ask if the politicians in DC are deliberately trying to destroy our country?
@Brontefan–You bring up a good and solid point. One thing the LSM has successfully buried is the Quran that was found on a smuggling trail in the AZ desert. The Border Patrol designation is OTMs for “other than Mexican” border crossers.
Besides drugs, if anyone believes it is only human traffic breaching our southern border, I own a bridge in Brooklyn I’d like to sell them.
Now for something completely different …
COPENHAGEN — It began as a stunt intended to prove that hardship and poverty still existed in this small, wealthy country, but it backfired badly. Visit a single mother of two on welfare, a liberal member of Parliament goaded a skeptical political opponent, see for yourself how hard it is.
It turned out, however, that life on welfare was not so hard. The 36-year-old single mother, given the pseudonym “Carina” in the news media, had more money to spend than many of the country’s full-time workers. All told, she was getting about $2,700 a month, and she had been on welfare since she was 16.
If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.
Just because my fly isn’t open doesn’t mean that somebody hasn’t set my hair on fire.

This is the big problem in this country. I wish I was making welfare wages…. Howdeee How Boys we are standing in tall cotton!!! – Lorica
