Let’s pause to reflect for a moment that the President of the United States told a “women’s health care” org that terminates unborn children’s lives at various stages of development “God bless you.” Via Daniel Halper at The Weekly Standard [1]:
“As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way,” said Obama. “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”

Let’s also keep in mind the fact that while President Obama was “honoring” Planned Parenthood’s “service” to women today in DC – and attacking pro-life advocates [3] of the unborn for trying to put a cork in the Roe v. Wade bloodbath, which has killed 45 million unborn children since 1973, roughly three hours away from DC is the courthouse in Philadelphia where baby murderer Dr. Kermit Gosnell awaits his fate [4] after being on trial for multiple counts of murder in the death of a woman who went there for an abortoin, and for the murders of babies born alive in his clinic, a clinic that the Southeast Pennsylvania Planned Parenthood recently admitted they knew had major problems [5]. What did that Planned Parenthood do about the complaints women came to them with regarding Gosnell’s clinic? Nothing:
But Planned Parenthood Southeast Pennsylvania president and CEO Dayle Steinberg admitted this week at a fundraiser [6] that the abortion business knew of the problems at Gosnell’s Philadelphia abortion facility.
Apparently Planned Parenthood did not report it to the state health department or other state or local officials who could have done something about it. Instead, it appears the abortion giant left it up to women Gosnell injured or traumatized to make public officials aware of his House of Horrors.
“We would always encourage them to report it to the Department of Health,” Steinberg said [7] of women who reported problems at Gosnell’s abortion clinic to Planned Parenthood staff.
Why would the nation’s biggest abortion chain not report the problems? Maybe because it referred women to Gosnell for abortions that were later in pregnancy than it would do.
Bingo. And I should add many of these abortions were illegal to perform, according to Pennsylvania law (which states no abortions after 24 weeks). Add Southeast PA Planned Parenthood to the growing list of groups, public officials, and advocates who all have a serious amount of dead baby blood on their hands.
“God bless you,” Obama says to feminists. Really?
Am I shocked that our celebrity President would so callously pander in a room full of self-important, hypocritical, blindly obedient “feminists” who have sold their souls on the altar of abortion? The same women who “march for women’s rights and independence” but who then turn around and demand their sugar daddy Uncle Sam fork out the cash for their “reproductive choices”? Nope, I’m not shocked at all – especially when I consider his deplorable, inhumane position [8] on born-alive survivors of abortion, which is – sadly – in perfect harmony with the pro-abortion movement [9]. All the same, it’s worth pointing out the stark contrasts between the posh “gala event” in DC celebrating a woman’s “right to choose” to stop her unborn child’s life and the sterile courtroom in Philadelphia where the state pleads for justice for the dead babies who never got the chance to grow up and be productive members of society thanks to the cruel, cold-blooded policies advocated by so-called “feminists” and “human rights activists” in the name of “freedom.” “Abortion on demand!” they cry – abortion at ANY stage, and any attempts to push back, to limit the types of abortions that are allowed in America are viewed and painted by militant pro-choicers and their allies in the MSM as both “anti-woman” and “anti-choice” instead of protecting life at its most vulnerable stage.
Now, I’m sure the President would agree with “feminists” who claim that abortion doctors like Gosnell are not representative of all abortion doctors, but – natch – they’re lying [10]:
The horrible truth that the National Abortion Federation or Planned Parenthood or any other abortion apologist wants to hide is that Kermit Gosnell is not an outlier. Earlier this year, a 29-year-old kindergarten teacher [11] died when “something went wrong [12]” with an abortion of her unborn child. The woman was reportedly 33 weeks pregnant. And the doctor who performed this abortion, a full two months after the 24-week viability line, was the celebrated — and I do mean celebrated — Dr. Leroy Carhart. Dr. Carhart is the chap who bravely fought both the Nebraska and federal ban on “so-called” “partial birth abortion” — you have to use scare quotes you know. Carhart expanded his practice into Maryland a few years back in order to bring his specialty — killing babies well after the point that they could live separate from their mothers — to a larger, more diverse population than his old mid-west practice.

There’s very little difference between what Carhart does on a regular basis and what Kermit Gosnell stands on trial for. In one federal trial on the federal partial-birth-abortion ban, one abortionist testified (under a court-imposed cloak of anonymity) that his regular practice in late-term abortions was to decapitate a partially born child. So the horrors of what Jonah rightly called Gosnell’s “abattoir” should come as no surprise to those who have been paying attention.
As Kirsten Powers noted in her must-read [13] USA Today column, whether Kermit Gosnell “was killing the infants one second after they left the womb instead of partially inside or completely inside the womb — as in a routine late-term abortion — is merely a matter of geography. That one is murder and the other is a legal procedure is morally irreconcilable.” And indeed, it should come as no surprise that moral “ethicists” have argued that if in utero abortion is legal, what on earth could possibly be wrong with “after-birth abortion [14]?” Gosnell’s trial only exposes the callousness that goes along with this line of thinking.
As well as the chilling line of thinking at any stage of fetal development for the unborn, as far as “feminists” are concerned. Unborn babies are “parasites” to these women, and women should NOT BE VIEWED AS INCUBATORS, DAMN IT! Even if there is nothing physically wrong with the child and no risk to the mother at weeks beyond the so-called “viability” point, it should STILL be “between a woman and her doctor” as to whether or not an abortion is allowed to be performed, according to abortion advocates. Canada, in fact, has this utopian abortion culture that pro-aborts here in the states love. You can abort an unborn child in Canada [15] at any stage, for any reason, and not have to worry about a thing. No responsibility for your actions, no consequences. Just have it terminated, go home, and resume your life as normal. No worries. Forget about it.
Unless you have a heart, that is.
Powers’ point above is an important one: the aborting of a baby while its head is still in the womb or partially out is only a matter of geography. In that regard, Gosnell is no different from any abortion practitioner . At the end of the day, you are still terminating a life. You are cutting off its organ development, its physical growth, ripping apart its body tiny limb by tiny limb, stripping away from it its only life source – its mother. No matter the trimester, and no matter what stage it is the baby starts to “feel pain”, this is immeasurable cruelty, a gross immorality that should shock, offend, outrage, and galvanize ALL Americans into taking civic action against the horrific practice. But the mainstream media refuses to report frankly on Gosnell or any other controversial abortionist and what it is they actually do, and our President and the steady stream of self-centered women across the US whose boots are on the necks of the unborn while they simultaneously claim to fight for “equality” (at the expense of the yet-to-be-born babies they don’t view as equals) paint the abortion issue as not about the innocent unborn lives but instead the very much alive women who, in most cases, made the conscious decision to have unsafe sex but whose irresponsibility should be given a “pass.” Let’s not “punish” women with a baby they don’t want, President Obama says – and his political allies both in and outside of the mainstream media, and abortion pressure groups like NARAL and NOW, all nod in agreement and treat the issue as unquestionable, undebatable beyond that. How DARE you question the moral cowardice that is THIS [16]:

- You will be given antibiotics to prevent infection.
- A tube is inserted through the cervix into the uterus.
- Either a hand-held suction device or a suction machine gently empties your uterus.
- Sometimes, an instrument called a curette is used to remove any remaining tissue that lines the uterus. It may also be used to check that the uterus is empty. When a curette is used, people often call the abortion a D&C — dilation and curettage.

- In later second-trimester procedures, you may also need a shot through your abdomen to make sure there is fetal demise before the procedure begins.
- Your health care provider will inject a numbing medication into or near your cervix.

Don’t you love that? “Gently empty your uterus” – “gently” for who? Certainly not that unborn child.
We’re told by bleeding heart leftists that the death penalty is “cruel and unusual punishment” for cold-blooded murders, yet strangely they don’t take that “cruel and unusual punishment” view when it comes to what they promote for the unborn who are entirely innocent. That the President and his fawning admirers at Planned Parenthood and the like want to gloss over what abortion really is (as described above) should tell you everything you need to know about the so-called “compassionate” “caring” nature of many on the left. Let’s save the whales, trees, the oceans, spare the lives of killers on death row, but when it comes to the unborn, suffocation and/or what is essentially a dismembering of pre-born baby is acceptable and necessary …. all in the name of “women’s rights.”
45 million aborted babies and counting is their legacy. They’re proud of it. It’s our job to point out why they shouldn’t be, why the unborn should be given a chance to live like you and I blessedly were. And we should never stop, not even after a majority of Americans see things our way.
President Obama says to Planned Parenthood, “God bless you.” As a commenter at Facebook so rightly responded, “No, Mr. President – may God have mercy on your soul, and theirs.” Indeed.
