Weekend Open Thread

Posted by: ST on May 18, 2013 at 3:14 pm

Kind of a quiet weekend here at Casa Toldjah, which is the way I like it right now. Loooong week, and one in which I didn’t get enough sleep, worked my fannie off, and feel like I yelled a lot. Taking the weekend to catch my breath. Hope you’re having a good one.

So taxes in France have hit the 100% of income mark for the wealthy. Livin’ the elitist liberal dream. LOL – Lorica

  2. A funny story aired this week about a woman who wanted to quit smoking. So she goes around until she finds a cop and bit*h-slaps him, getting 60 days in the county lockup which is a non-smoking facility. Something tells me she is unclear on the concept of “conviction”.

Headline on a front page, above the fold article in today’s Philadelphia Inquirer:

Obama’s activism is starved for trust

Why oh why, whines the author (actually a WaPo reporter), don’t people trust the government, or Obama, even though he’s promised soooo many times to make the government smarter and more effective??

Oh I dunno…..you think it might have something to do with the fact that people are finally waking up to the fact that Obama lies every time he opens his pie hole?

Instead, the thesis of the article is that people distrust Washington because (1) those nasty Republicans are so partisan, and (2) Obama hasn’t been convincing enough. I guess we need to be treated to twice-daily harangues where Dear Leader repeats the same things over and over again. That’ll fix everything….

@GWR-You got that sh*t right. Whenever Obhammud starts lying he is only speaking his native tongue. Or as Mark Twain would say, “An experienced, industrious, ambitious, and often quite picturesque liar.”

And now we have yet another potential “scandal” for the Duh-1 administration. It seems as though the U.S. reports from government officials about the Israeli air raids in Syria were not supposed to be public knowledge (i.e.- they were “classified”).

Low-level people are being blamed, of course.

Kinda makes one wonder who’s running the government, doesn’t it, since everything that’s happened in the past three years in government has been due to “low-level employees.” It’s certainly not the “smartest man in the world” and his gang of Chicago thugs, that’s for sure! So why is every one of them still on the payroll?

And if my memory was as bad as it apparently is required to be to be part of this administration (think Holder, Miller and their respective hearings appearances), I’d be in an Alzheimer’s institution.
