Democrat congressman accidentally honest with public

"We're here for your fair share."

“We’re here for your fair share.”

I’m sure Rep. Ellison will get an earful from Minority Leader Pelosi for giving the game away:

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) told a gathering of Democrats, “The bottom line is we’re not broke, there’s plenty of money, it’s just the government doesn’t have it.”

So, there you have it. It’s not your money; it’s Washington’s to redistribute as it sees fit. Like Obama. Ellison thinks the government has first call on your money. Unlike Obama, he wants it all. The President, at least, only wants your excess income.

“Excess” as defined by the government, of course.

  1. This reminds me of a joke I heard this week: A Conservative was walking on the beach and found a lamp from the Middle East. When he rubbed the lamp, a genie appeared and told him she would grant one wish for him. So, the man said, “I wish for eternal life.” The genie said she eternal life was something that she didn’t have the power to grant. So, the man said, “Then, I wish to live until the Democrats balance the budget and stop taxing Americans.” The genie granted his wish and said “You’re a tricky bastard!”

  2. /shakes my head…. How do these double digit, bb brained people get elected…. Come On Democrat voters… Wake Up!! Please for the good of the country. – Lorica

  3. That’s known as a Kinsleyan Gaffe (after Michael Kinsley who first identified it), when a politician inadvertently says what he’s thinking.

But Ellison will no more suffer from this than Obama did when he said he wanted to spread the wealth around.
