Clyburn latest example of Democrats launching a war on conservative bloggers

The Hill reports on some ugly comments Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) recently made on Sirius XM’s POTUS channel:

Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the third-ranking House Democrat, on Wednesday accused the U.S. media of spreading “manufactured controversies” that pose dangers similar to the propaganda spread by the Nazis during the Holocaust.

Speaking to “The Morning Briefing” program on Sirius XM’s POTUS channel, Clyburn accused the modern Internet-based media of misrepresenting the statements of people in order to hurt their reputations.

“You have people’s words and phrases being misrepresented and looped through the news media and thrown out there on the Internet, and people run with it because these things start getting reported in the mainstream media, and before you know it, people believe that stuff,” Clyburn said.

The consequences of such misrepresentation, Clyburn warned, could be severe.

“The people of Germany believed Hitler’s foolishness that led to the Holocaust. They believed that stuff,” Clyburn said. “People will tend to believe what they hear through the media.”

Wow. Talk about utter and complete lack of perspective, not to mention extreme hyperbole. Would someone please buy this guy a clue?

Unfortunately, Clyburn isn’t the only Democrat who has taken it upon himself to offer up chilling critiques of conservative bloggers who write daily about the devastating far left Democrat polices that do far more harm than good to this great nation and the American people, as NRO’s Andrew Johnson notes:

Clyburn’s comments echoed sentiments previously expressed by a couple of his Democratic colleagues in Congress, senators Dick Durbin and Dianne Feinstein. In June, Durbin wrote an op-ed titled “It’s time to say who’s a real reporter” in which he suggested lawmakers limit certain First Amendment protections under a proposed media-shield law to journalists who meet certain requirements. Earlier this month, Feinstein insisted on defining a “journalist” as someone who receives a salary for his work.

Just the latest evidence that Democrats cannot stand free speech as expressed by the political opposition and say and do whatever is necessary to try and stop it. Chilling.

I have a category at my own blog, called “Anti-Democratic Democrats.” This would fit right in.

Isn’t Clyburn the same fool who claimed the crowd yelled the so-called n-word at him and other Black Democrats as they were heading to the House to unconstitutionally pass Obamacare? Sad. This guy was a genuine hero of the Civil Rights movement, but now he’s just a tool, well-past his sell-by date.

Rule of thumb: Any time a progressive dim speaks, he/she is lying. That pretty much removes any doubt as to the truthfulness of any remark. To a dim truth is a four letter word since most of them can’t spell.

Clyburn, Durbin, and Feinstein need to be reminded that the constitutional liberties that allow people to express their political opinions are the very same liberties that allow these three stooges to spout their hot halitosis.

Feinstein should talk. She almost single-handedly blew the entire “Night Stalker” murder case by revealing every stitch of the evidence in the course of its investigation while mayor of SF. To take up her challenge, let’s define a congressman or congresswoman as one who actually works for their paycheck versus stealing it.

When we’ve a complete set of mainstream media complicit in extolling and propagating the lies told by a sleazy, lying president, and doing the same for sleazy, lying thieves like Clyburn and Feinstein, it really is similar to what went on in Nazi Germany.
