Send the bill to those who are responsible for forcing the trial to begin with with their race baiting – CNN, ABC, MSNBC, NYT, Al Sharpton, Congressional Black Caucus, Democratic Party, etc. etc.

I agree with Tex. Since Sharpton, the CBC, Democrat Party, etal, railroaded Zimmerman; and the State of Florida broke every kind of procedure to put him on trial. In effect having a prosecutor that was looking out for her own career move, and not taking the (lack of) evidence to a grand jury; everyone of the “guilty” parties should participate in paying his legal bills. They should also be responsible for paying damages.

The concomitant attacks on “stand your ground” laws, which the defense never entertained, and concealed carry laws shows how seriously and deliriously the left attacks the Constitution. My Second Amendment right the Constitution says I have to lawfully carry a weapon trumps anyone else’s First Amendment right to say it ain’t so.

It’s amazing Mr. My People could find the time to exploit this whole mess as much as he did/does, but can’t find the time to order minions to find the papers/documents Congress asked for two years ago…

I’m with you all, especially Carlos. If anything, the state of Florida should be less responsible for those fees than the federal officials who pushed the state into this unnecessary trial.

Maybe Obama can foot the bill. All he’d have to do is cut his next vacation short by a day. Or bring the dog on his plane instead of on a separate flight.

I disagree. The state of FL might have been “pushed” into going further with this due to outside pressures, but Ms. Corey opted out of having a grand jury decide whether this case should go to trial and decided on her own to go for charges she KNEW were bogus. Had she gone with a grand jury review, the trial likely wouldn’t have happened. This is just as much on FL as it is on the Feds, media, etc.

My point, ST, wasn’t that the state of Florida shouldn’t be held responsible, but that the feds are equally responsible.

Whatever. Centuries from now historians will look at what’s happening in this country now and shake their heads, and use it as the perfect example of how a country can self-destruct with the soothing, siren song of “coming together” and getting into “racial dialogue.”

Point well taken. Who knows how much pressure or what kind of pressure was placed on Corey to seek the indictment, but she should have had the integrity not to knuckle under to it.
