One point: a three year extension would not only push the requirement past the 2014 midterm elections, but beyond the 2016 general election as well.

It would also exacerbate the threat of an Obamacare “death spiral” –too many elderly and sick “takers,” not enough young and healthy “donors”– making the system even more financially unstable. In fact, I should think this would be fatal to Obamacare. They must be getting desperate to even consider it.

This November we must vote for the opponents of every Democrat politician that voted to pass Obamacare — this is especially true in the Senate races. We must take over the Senate if we are ever going to be able to get rid of Obamacare. If we are not successful, I am afraid Obamacare is the entitlement that will cause the USA to default on its debt. Remember when Obama claimed that he would never support Obamacare if it cost a dime more than $1 trillion — well, the CBO has increased its cost to $2.6 trillion. If you remember the original cost estimates for Medicare and look at its budget today, you can predict a similar growth in the cost of Obamacare. We have a $17.3 trillion national debt today and it is projected to be $20 trillion when Obama leaves office AND THAT IS ASSUMING INTEREST RATES REMAIN CONSTANT. We simply cannot afford Obamacare.

It is particularly frustrating to know this is the administration’s twelfth or fifteenth unconstitutional “tweak” to existing legislation while the legislature sits on its collective dead ass, expressing not a breath’s worth of indignation.

A leviathan law the magnitude of this one will soon collapse under its own weight, the laws of gravity being as they are.

Here’s a better idea, Mr. (gag) President: postpone the draconian requirements of your signature legislation until after the elections – in 2068. That would go a long way toward solving a lot of your most vexing problems, like unemployment and a putrid economy.
