And I just noticed on Twitchy that OKCupid.com requires its users to enable Javascript, the invention of Brendan Eich.

If OKCupid really practiced what they preached, they would rewrite their codebase so as not to take advantage of Eich’s technology.

But that would cost time, money and effort. It’s easier to to feign outrage and collect scalps.

That line about being held to a different standard is the giveaway here. What it means is that these leftist cretins realize they are saddled with a toxic mix of schizophrenia and paranoia. They never mention that the Supreme Court that allows sodomite unions also ruled yesterday that political contributions are protected free speech.

Perhaps most alarming of all to them is that they realize they may have achieved Robert Burns’ cosmic wish he expressed in, fittingly enough, “To a Louse”:

“Oh would some Power the small gift give us
To see ourselves as others see us.”

Give them an inch and they think they are a ruler.

Also, I wonder if OKCupid was this incensed about Obama being against gay marriage in ’08 (same time as Prop 8)?

I see this as just another example of the public not being able to separate professional conduct, thoughts and actions, from personal conduct, thoughts, and actions. This is the essence of free speech. It a sad statement of public intelligence that we still cannot separate the two. We as the public worry about children bullying other children and we set the example by bullying the co-founder of a company. And then we wonder why our children act this way.
