After over a year of using NC’s HB2 as a whipping boy with which to tarnish the state’s welcoming reputation and – more importantly – to fundraise off of, extremist left wing groups like Equality NC, the HRC, and the ACLU saw one of their worst nightmares realized with its repeal.
Cooper, as the Governor-Elect, had the chance for a full repeal in December, just weeks after the election. He torpedoed it. He claimed at the time it’s because he and fellow party members believed the “moratorium” on new NDOs proposed by Republicans was unacceptable...
Thanks to the combined efforts of then-candidate-for-governor Roy Cooper and key Democrats in the state legislature and the Charlotte city council, HB2 repeal efforts have gone down in flames four times to date. And according to GOP leaders, the latest attempt may be on the ropes, thanks again to – you guessed it – Gov. Cooper:
When last we left you, CNN “New Day” anchor Chris Cuomo was busy digging holes and spouting some pretty incredible (literally) rhetoric about how uncomfortable little girls and their “over-protective dads” were the real problem in the debate over HB2-like bills.
The so-called “bathroom wars” have been debated, discussed, and dissected so many times now that you’d think there was no point rehashing the deeply personal angles to them. But the activist Left and their righteous champions in the mainstream media keep providing sterling examples of just why these angles are so deserving of much sunlight.
