Cindy Sheehan to be in audience during the SOTU

Thanks to House Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-6th District -CA) . Via the AP:

Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif., is hosting Cindy Sheehan, whose vigil for her 24-year-old soldier son killed in Iraq, Casey, reinvigorated the anti-war movement.

“I’m proud that Cindy’s my guest tonight,” Woolsey said in an interview before the speech. “She has made a difference in the debate to bring our troops home from Iraq.”

Earlier Tuesday, Woolsey offered Sheehan a ticket to the speech – Gallery 5, seat 7, row A – as Sheehan attended an “alternative state of the union” press conference by CODEPINK, a group promoting the end of the Iraq war.

Isn’t that special?

Michelle Malkin blogs about what some of the more fanatical hate-Bushr’s around the country will be doing tonight to protest Bush’s speech.

Macsmind has a post up with his thoughts on the state of the Democratic party.

Update 10:37 PM: Cindy Sheehan was arrested and removed from the House galley prior to the President’s speech (see photos here). My question is this: why did Rep. Lynn Woolsey, who I would assume knows about all the stunts that Ms. Sheehan and her ‘supporters’ have pulled in the past, invite her in the first place? If you’re in Rep. Woolsey’s district and would like to voice your opinion on her invitation of Cindy Sheehan to the SOTU, click here. We expect silly antics from radical anti-war types like Cindy Sheehan, but not Representatives of the US House. Shame on you, Rep. Woolsey.
