Oh, come on now. Hundreds of thousands of people have been bloviating for months about how exactly to construct this gigantic pyre of laws, regulations, and taxes upon which our collective money will be burnt, and they’ve been doing it based on lies, half-lies, and precious little actual facts or information. Why should Cynthia Nixon be any different than any other American in that respect?

I wasn’t aware that without ObamaCare, women would not be able to get abortions, that birth control would be outlawed, that unless you’re allowed to sit in a abortionist’s waiting room with friends all around, you’ll never be able to make intelligent, unselfish, sound choices about the life of an unborn baby.

I must have dreamed those “Planned Parenthood making obscene profits on abortions” headlines last month. Thank goodness Cynthia has cleared that up for me. Hooray for Hollywood… /sarc

I am an OB/GYN . Most women that get pregnant and get an abortion are not in any form of contraception by choice. A lot of them use abortion as a method of contraception. I have no pity for them. Nixon should stop worrying about abortion since she sleeps with women and will never need one. Ashley Judd has the IQ of a cucumber.

Nixon: I think we can continue to tell stories about backstreet abortions and how horrible they are. The idea of making access to safe abortions harder and more expensive and more difficult, having to travel across state lines — that puts women’s health and lives in jeopardy, which is something I think no one wants.

Nothing in this oppressive monstrosity of a bill will make abortions less safe or more difficult, you idiot. This is about is whether women who want abortions can send the bill for them to the taxpayers, or shell out for it themselves.

I wonder just how “pro-choice” Nixon and Judd would be if the issue were, say, whacking baby seals on the head?

Would they be all afire over concerns about “back-alley clubbings” and the need to keep baby seal hunts legal and safe? Or would they deafen half the nation with their shrieks of outrage and hate? (Personally I suspect the latter, but then I am just an embittered God-and-guns clinger….)

Remember always, dear readers, that to the Hollywood crowd anything that (1) has big eyes, soft fur, or otherwise looks cute in a full-color Esquire advertisement, and (2) is not human will always be worth more than a human baby. Baby seals, polar bears, whales, dolphins, feral cats, snail darters, trees, … even the protozoan that cause malaria have more intrinsic worth than human life.

I have to agree with MD….if it looks cute and isn’t a burden to you personally it has to be good, right? Save them and forget about those “inconvenient” little rugrats who demand your time and energy and are so dependent on you….so you go girl.

Having been through the “process” I know that it is not the panacea that some women trump it up to be…more emotional damage is done to women who go through with an abortion than they want you to know…take it from me, I had an emotional breakdown that turned my life upside-down even with the support of friends….friends don’t live with the guilt. And I will admit that it was for purely selfish reasons.

SO, what does abortion have to do with health care. It is an elective procedure in an overwhelming majority of cases. It is not covered by most insurances. So why does the federal health care process have to include it…oh, because of the babbling idiots of the left who think it is a right as witnessed above. If tanning is going to be taxed, why not tax abortions, too. That would bring in a few extra dollars to pay for the plan, Reid and Pelosi.

Why not show in health classes in school an actual video of a developing child in the womb at early stages and through the whole nine months and then show how it is aborted. Years ago women may not have been fully aware of the developmental stages, but with technological advances they certainly do know now and it seems odd that this basic human biology is not shown in school. Yet they can get graphic instructions on birth control. It would be interesting to see how men and women react once they see the reality in the womb.

A couple of thoughts: There is nothing in any of the bills that prevents a person from getting an abortion. It’s also obvious that, typically, the jackasses don’t want the citizenry to have to suffer the consequences for making stupid choices, except when it comes to paying taxes for the legislators particular whims. There is also no moral reason in the universe that I and others should be made to pay for any person’s lack of aforethought in this regard. If a person wishes to use abortion as birth control, don’t demand that I pay for it.

Planned Parenthood is Big Business, just like Goldman Sachs and GM. And just like the failing banks and businesses that have been bailed out, they lean very heavily toward the “party of the people”, the Democrat Party. I wonder when the generally less-than-inquisitive voting public is going to figure this out?

And last, why would anyone wish to listen to some Hollyweird amoral twit who has the I.Q. of a broomstick she probably rides home on?
