Stevens is only leaving because he fears a Republican majority after November, and He doesn’t want to wait 2 more years before he can be replaced. This is why all the expedency talk comming from both Him and Obama. – Lorica

Yes, he does, Patrick. A “conservative” to him is anyone who thinks that the Constitution, or any part thereof, actually matters.

He is obviously not even a “conservative” by his own definition because the Constitution, as written and intended by the Framers, is totally irrelevant and meaningless except to extend the role of government into more lives, deeper.

Hardly what the Framers had in mind when it was written, but why should he care? After all, he’s among the ruling, elitist arrogancia so he doesn’t have to worry about what effects his rulings have on the masses.

Ginsburg looks like she is ready to fall over any day. Stevens is a liberal ideologue. His Interpretation of the constitution was flawed and damaging to this country. I say good riddance.
