Like I said on Twitter, I’m a cynic when it comes to sanctimonious jackasses like Al. While it’s still “he said/she said,” I do find her at least cautiously credible and I wouldn’t at all be surprised to learn Gore did this.

There are good reasons to question Haggerty’s credibility. Why didn’t she just leave the room? And why didn’t she cooperate with the police? It just feels to me that she was no stranger to “special instructions” and may have been recommended to Gore for that reason.

In any event, there comes a point where my opinion of a man can go no lower. Gore reached that point a long time ago.

Nothing would surprise me about this man. I think its very interesting how this news comes out just after Gore announces he and his wife are getting divorced. No doubt they both already knew something about this allegation before the public got wind of it. I’m sure the MSM was running screen for him trying to cover it up.

People are always complaining about the “special” treatment star athletes get, whether pro or college (and even local high school in a lot of cases.) But the considerations they get are nothing compared to what politicians get.

Did the Tribune sit on this story? You betcha they did.

Would they have sat on it if it had been a major (or even a local mid-major) Republican? We’ll never know for sure, but as scuzzy as the rag is I can pretty well assume that even the hint of scandal fro a Republican will set them off like coon hounds in a southern forest.

The news of the split seems to have opened the flood gates.

Perhaps she was holding off because she was a DEMOCRAT and didn’t want her heroes to suffer, but now has seen the light and realized that Al Gore has no more class than a cheap cigar….Remember how much press that got Monica and Bill.

The whole scenario is surreal…MR Save the Planet wanted a little extra…maybe Tipper didn’t have that global warming thing going on in the bedroom. (I know…they always blame the wife!!!)

There are a lot of reasons for Algore to be in jail (like laundering Chinese contributions to the Clinton/Gore campaign), but if this is what it takes to get him off the streets, I’m all for it.

Sigh. When it comes to sexual harrassment, it becomes a matter of ‘self crediblity’. When this happens to a woman, she tends to feel unsure if it was real or her imagination. It happened to me some years ago in an office (no, I wasn’t giving anyone a massage) and someone got a little bit .. to agressive (too many lunchtime cocktails on his part). I didn’t want to report him since he was close friend of the head of HR. But I did. She was mortified. It’s something not easy to express.

In large part because you really aren’t sure if it’s an overreaction to a situation. And…it’s embarrassing. Not to mention that it wreaks havoc on your self esteem. It creates a fear of job loss or isolation from others at work.

I do believe that some people are out of control crying harrassment as such, but, it does happen. AND ..harrassment covers a BROAD base..from joke telling (offender here) to actual physical contact. Who knew!

P.S. The thought of Al Gore getting frisky gives me a case of the dry heaves.
