Point of order; Kennedy would only be approaching 77 in early 2013. Now, if Obama were to win re-election, Kennedy would be 80 before he finally departs the Oval Office.

We really shouldn’t get into the what-if’s of politics or life in general. WE don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but if things move on at the current course it would be nice to think that Obama is a single term president and that there might be some hope for a Republican or even Independent in the White House.

In which case the possibility of a case of involving the U. S. v the State of Arizona’s immigration law might be in the cards.
Wonder how the SCOTUS would stand on this conflict?

With the way things are going, unless there is a dramatic resurgence of the economy and the Gulf is cleaned up and Health Care reform is repealed, the Republicans could put up a loser like McCain and still win.

We are in danger of going into a depression, the printing of money that this regime has been doing will cause further economic woes, and the Democrats will probably push through other vile legislation through on their way out the door.

None of that bodes well for a 2nd term of Obama. I am not all that convinced that Obama even likes being President now. He wanted the title, but sure doesn’t seem like he has a clue or a desire to learn how to do the job.

Even Kennedy realizes how radical Duh-1 and his merry band of thugs is, and he doesn’y feel he can, in good conscience, step down and let him appoint another ideologue like Kagan, or even one like “the wise Latina.”

Good on him. Now, if he just doesn’t have an accident between now and the end of Duh-1’s term…
