Pelosi whines: “We’re not getting the credit we deserve!”

Oh, you ungrateful, fact-fleeing and science-ignoring American voters. You’ve made the Speaker of the House unhappy, because you don’t appreciate all the crap wonderful things she and her fellow Democrats have shoved down your throats done for you.

Don’t you feel ashamed, you selfish peasants?

Democrats haven’t necessarily gotten the credit they’re due for the work they’ve done the last two years, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said.

Pelosi, in the middle of a tough campaign to defend Democrats’ majority in the House — as well as her own Speakership — seemed to echo a complaint voiced by other Democrats, that obstacles have made it difficult for the party’s message to get through.

“You have all those forces at work, pouring millions of millions of dollars into the media, and now into the campaigns to mischaracterize everything that we did,” Pelosi said in an interview with Politics Daily, video of which was posted Monday. “So that’s that. It’s up to us to go out there. I’m very confident; our members know why they voted for what they did.

“But you’re right, we haven’t really gotten the credit for what we have done, but we will take it to the voters and have a Democratic majority to follow through on it,” the Speaker added.

See, it’s not because they’ve pursued all the wrong policies and flushed nearly a trillion dollars down the toilet in pursuit of shovel-ready jobs they knew didn’t exist. It’s not because that same stimulus package was nothing but a pork-fiesta for their home states and districts. It’s not because they’ve violated the rule of law by crushing bondholder rights or attacked the fundamentals of democracy to reward their union cronies by trying to eliminate the secret ballot in union elections. It’s not because, on top of running the national debt to ungodly levels and costing people the insurance coverage they were told they could keep in pursuit of a health care reform no one wants, the Democrats have pursued an economy-killer of a “greenhouse gas” bill to address a problem that does not exist.

Nope. It’s because those eeevvviilll Republicans and their allies in Chamber of Commerce (and their foreign money!) are telling lies about them and the knuckle-dragging bitter-clingers aren’t able to see the truth.

Madame Speaker, I have news for you: We see very clearly what you’ve done and we’re giving you and your comrades all the credit you deserve.

And, on the first Tuesday in November, you’ll find out just how much that is.
