Planned Parenthood abets teen prostitution?

Posted by: Phineas on February 1, 2011 at 12:01 pm

Two years ago, Andrew Breitbart’s “Big” sites played a crucial role in bringing down ACORN by publicizing the willingness of several branch offices to facilitate teenage prostitution. The result was to turn ACORN politically radioactive and led to the cutoff of its federal funding.

Now, apparently, it’s the turn of Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry. In the following video, an investigative team lead by UCLA student Lila Rose exposes how a Planned Parenthood office was willing to cover for an abortion for a teenage hookers and even advised the “pimp” how he could keep his girls working in the trade after the procedure.

As Rose explains in her article:

Think about it. Where is a pimp going to send his victims if they get pregnant on the “job”? An abortion clinic, and preferably one that won’t ask any questions. What if those victims are young girls, kidnapped or drafted in from the US, or trafficked in from other nations? Planned Parenthood has demonstrated that they do not report abuse. They are experts at turning a blind eye and asking for “as little information as possible.

But would Planned Parenthood go as far as aiding and abetting the sex trafficking of underage girls?

This video reveals a top-level Planned Parenthood worker, the manager of Planned Parenthood of Central New Jersey’s second largest clinic, making a secret deal with a pimp. Watch and listen as the Planned Parenthood manager, Amy Woodruff, advises the pimp how to make the trafficking of underage girls look “as legit as possible” (her words). Watch and listen as the manager advises the pimp how to ensure that his 14-year old victims of trafficking can still make money for him after secret abortions by performing sex acts “waist up” (her idea). Watch as she advises the pimp to instruct his girls to lie on the paper work about their ages, and identify themselves as “students” to get cheaper contraception and avoid mandatory reporting laws.

Be sure to read the whole thing.

Rose demands a federal investigation of Planned Parenthood and calls on Congress to cut off their funding. While difficult to imagine, given the abortion industry’s strong support for the Democrats, don’t forget that it was a Democratic congress that felt forced to defund ACORN, no matter how temporary they tried to make it. With the Republicans now in charge of the House and a shaky Democratic majority in the Senate, Planned Parenthood’s portion of our tax dollars (and of those borrowed from China) is likely in grave danger.

As for a federal investigation, don’t expect it from Obama’s DoJ. But a Republican-chaired House committee should be able to throw a lot of light into corners Planned Parenthood would rather keep hidden. Given the documentary evidence Rose and Life Dynamics have compiled, Planned Parenthood will have a hard time arguing that the problem is just “one rogue clinic.”

Regardless of what one believes concerning the politics of abortion, polls show most Americans are opposed to federally funding it. (Planned Parenthood says otherwise.)  After this revelation, they may also come to oppose providing tax dollars for abortion counseling — or career counseling for teen prostitutes and their pimps.

UPDATE: More from Moe Lane and Hot Air, which notes in an update that the PP national office may have called the Feds.

Good example of defacto vs dejure.

Sounds like a natural extension of the party of evil doing what comes natural.

The manager of this “clinic ” is a vile pathogenic cretin who should be fired with her “partner in crime.”

I trust that my taxes will be used correctly with her prison experience and the end of this Planned Parenthood office.

Why shouldn’t Congress feel that funding of abortions for whores is OK? After all, it’s only professional courtesy!

i’m sure that “Planned Parenthood” has done some good around the nation but this is just inexcusable.

makes you wonder just how many other federally funded programs are nothing more that gamers.

  5. Here’s the press release from Planned Parendhood Affiliates of New Jersey.

They call the Live Action video a “hoax,” but that is just a lie. The video is real, and no amount of editing could change the fact that the PP manager coached a “pimp” on how to obtain secret abortions for his “employees.” Whether or not they really reported the group’s visits to the police or not is as of now undetermined, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

As with just about investigations, I suppose, the Live Action people probably did visit a number of clinics before they got a “hit.” Undercover cops probably have to approach a number of suspicious people before someone agrees to sell them illegal drugs. What you see on TV shows like Cops is only the end result of a lot of investigatory work. Further, what you see on these TV shows is edited footage. If they showed the entire thing the show would last for hours and most of it would bore you silly.

So much of the PP response is hogwash.

The fact is that Live Action has found much evidence that a cavalier attitude towards the law exists at Planned Parenthood clinics.

Congress needs to eliminate funding to any agency or group that does not promote American values–from both sides. NPR has been disgustingly liberal, editing out controversial bits from hearings, etc. which I had watched LIVE, and they also should survive on LIBERAL donations–not taxpayer monies. As for Planned Parenthood–this is an organization founded by Margaret Sanger whom they honor regularly. Has anyone ever researched this Sanger? I would guess not; she is not the proponent of politically correct dialogue. We have reached a time when the federal government needs to STOP funding things we cannot afford–which includes all those bogus grants to study aliens [from outer space!], the flow of ketchup, and millions of the other insane ideas. We cannot afford it! Why is it that common sense is no longer employed in Washington??

  7. Carlos says:

Well, this has become big enough that the LSM has now picked up on it. Of course, their emphasis in the news is that it is a hoax as PP claims, so within a day or two we will all be told to move along, nothing (but dead human being babies) to see here.

Supply and demand. Although usually you don’t find the same actors at both ends.
