Elections have consequences. The result of the 2008 presidential election, full of flowery promises and arrogant dismissal of history, training and ability is now bearing fruit, for all the numbskulls who voted for this jackass.

Hopefully, he will go down not only as America’s worst president but also a president who lost any semblance of power by the end of the first quarter of his third year flailing around at the helm of the ship of state.

The US Embassy website is now urging US Citizens to contact foreign nations for passage out of the country. The state department evacuated 167 citizens by ferry and 32 by aircraft. 199 out of several thousands. Way to go, Obama.

If Bush was still President all those Americans trapped in Libya would have been back home in the U.S. a week ago instead of trying to hide anywhere they can hide in Libya and pray for a miracle to keep them alive.

Wow, I can’t believe I’m writing this but here goes. Why shouldn’t they compensate those who rescued them. If it had been USAIR or Delta, they would expect payment. The government is not a charity, I’d expect them to be paid for their services like any other company.

Gosh I feel dirty for agreeing with the admin on that…

The question would never have come up had the Porker-in-Chief been doing his job, of course. But while he’s out makin’ bacon on the taxpayers, how could one expect him to be doing what any other affirmative action prez would do? ‘Specially with a Motown concert to get ready for and attend?

As for the motown show, could you imagine the press if Bush had attended a country music concert last week? The bleating from the press would have been intolerable.

This completely blows my mind. How can one adminisration be so stupid and yet our “dear leader’ is still is in the running for a second term. It did not take long for America to discover Carter was an idiot, yet for some strange reason, this guy has almost 45% of Americans thinking he is presidential material. Good God, 2012 cannot get here soon enough

Actually, the parallel between Obama and Carter is even stronger. As late as mid-1980, Jimmy held a lead over Reagan in national polls, and most showed them even just days before the election. It’s stunning in retrospect, but the landslide that actually occurred I think has obscured that in a lot of people’s memories. There’s a good article on it in Time’s archives.
