I like it. 🙂

For me, Perry is the most likable of the candidates; he passes my “sit down and have a beer with him” test. And I like someone who can laugh at himself, it shows a core of confidence, unlike thin-skinned types like Obama.

Policy-wise, I think he’s still the closest to my own opinions. I just wish he hadn’t shot himself in both feet at the debates.

It is inconceivable that any liberal/statist/elitist could ever poke fun at one’s self. That’s just not in their makeup. Kudos to Perry for doing so – it humanizes him.

Now, poking fun at “the enemy” (as the Republican Party is referred to by several Democraps, including dear leader) or a rival, now that’s fair game because each individual liberal/statist/elitist knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that only a person as smart as him/herself is ever good enough to “cast the first stone,” so to speak.

And BTW, Nancy, check that out. It refers to an incident in your favorite word, the Word (which, by my count, is two words but I’ve never assumed you could count), and is seemingly very apropos to this conversation.

What’s a minor brain fart when you have a president who thnks we have 57 states and refuses to honor the flag? The only reason for it is that Obhammud has done so much damage knowing where to start to try to correct it is a book-length topic.

@Carlos: man, are you spot-on! My brother in law is liberal to the core, sure he is right (at all costs), and has never been able or willing to just relax and laugh at himself (or even other liberals!).
I really like Perry’s ad. Like Phineas said, it shows a core of confidence that isn’t shaken by a minor fumble (as opposed to major blunders by the current Bumbler-In-Chief).
(I should call it more than “bumbling.” He lets a little ooze of His disdain leak out. Letting it leak is not the main prob–HAVING it is!!)
