Obama plagiarizes himself?

If you’re like me, you were too busy with urgent, pressing matters to watch the President’s State of the Union address last night. You know, things like alphabetizing your DVD collection, or playing Angry Birds. In fact, on Twitter last night I said that I wish presidents would go back to the old tradition of sending a written report to Congress; they’ve become such a pompous event anymore that they feel like a speech from the throne. Instead, just mail it in.

It seems Obama agrees with me; as this video from the Republican National Committee shows, the President just took his old speeches , rearranged the order, and mailed it in:

Should’ve gone all the way and put a stamp on it, sir, and spared people the disruption of their TV night.

PS: I wonder if “Professor” Obama would ever have let his law-school classes get away with such cheap work?

PPS: On a more serious note, here’s the official Republican response, delivered by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.

Of course he would have. He never read them because they had too many big words he didn’t understand, words like “patriotism,” “constitutional” and “corp(e)sman.”

Carlos is right, but there’s another reason as well. Checking papers for shoddy work and plagiarism requires studying the document, comparing it with other work, and hours of concentration and analysis. You’d never see that from someone as lazy as Obama.

And, on another (but related) subject, Tax-Cheat Timmy has said he doesn’t expect to be held over after this year’s election. Basically what is happening is that the WH is now vetting rich Democrap supporters for someone new that not only hasn’t paid “their fair share” but won’t get around to “paying their fair share” until an appointment to replace Geithner is imminent.

It will be up to the Prez to decide, after all the footwork is done by others, which tax cheat communist to appoint next – if he’s still under constitutional restraint, of course.

Another take on his “plagerism”: maybe it’s the only thing he could find brilliant enough for his petty, devious mind?

    Carlos,
You’ve nipping at the “Liberal” Kool Aid again; The SOTUS is a summary of the liberal body politic. Their collective narrative, when placed a in body of water; you could jump in, bare-footed, and not get your toe nails WET!

    Glenn,
Look up sarcasm – IMHO, Obhammud’s mind is as vacuous as his rhetoric, so naturally the rhetoric from last year would easily impress himself.

Lots of people have vacuous minds, but only in politicians do you find those vacuous minds also petty and devious. Hence you find Guvner Brewer sticking her finger in da Prezident’s face because she feels slighted, and him ignoring the annoying gnat buzzing around in “his space” while trying to figure out which foot to put in front of the other, all at the same time, and all while wondering if, perchance, some F&F gun is pointed in his direction! What irony!
