DOJ: First “Fast and Furious,” then bribery, and now kiddie porn?

Oh, for Pete’s sake! (1)

Looking at child porn online is a sure-fire way to get yourself into serious legal trouble — even if you were only looking at it for the sake of academic research. Internet law guru Eric Goldman calls child porn “toxic;” any brush with it results in potential criminal charges as well as civil liability if the victim decides to seek damages. The war on child porn is the justification given for many a government initiative to curb Internet freedoms and reduce Internet users’ ability to stay anonymous on the Web.

So, it was with a great deal of surprise that Senator Chuck Grassley learned that an Assistant U.S. Attorney had child porn on his computer (for his pleasure, not as part of an investigation) — but faced no legal consequences.

This is from 2011, and guess who was the Attorney General?

Worst. Attorney General. In. History.

Via Christian Adams, whose post gives further examples of corruption at the Obama-Holder Department of Justice.

(1) Hey, ST! Remember when I mentioned on Twitter what happens to my language when I get really mad? Yeah, I had to edit this post.

Tweeted the link. Getting a buttload of RT’s.

  2. syn says:

One would think Sen John McCain and his infamous Gang would have the courage to confront America’s worst Attorney General.

All the courage McCain and his Gang can muster is to beat up defenseless Hobbits who are just trying to live decent lives.

    Proven once again:

The Democrat Party is the party of Evil and the Republican Party is the party of Evil Enablers.

  3. Carlos says:

But, but, how can you say that, syn? Issa’s putting on the grandest circus this side of the ones his colleague from CA Bucky used to put on.

And I’m afraid that’s all this really is. If Issa (or anyone else) really wanted to get to the bottom of this whole thing they could have wrapped it up six months ago and had convictions by now.

And as for the kiddie porn, that doesn’t surprise me in the least. A scumbag department headed by a scumbag thug can’t expect any better than scumbag people whose greatest pleasure is abusing children, directly or indirectly.

  4. Glenn Bergen says:

Kiddy porn, hopefully on AG Holder’s personal computer; if not, on a gov’t-owned computer… ohh, lesser people have be DISMISSED for this offense.

  5. Drew the Infidel says:

John Mitchell, AG under Nixon and WWII hero, was imprisoned for a hell of a lot less (perjury and obstruction), on top of which no one died on his watch. WTF? Oh, I forgot. The lamestream media onlyh investigates Republicans and screams for their heads.

  6. PE says:

People in the Justice Department work in a justice free environment so they can better fabricate the justice by which we must live.

  7. Miroco says:

Such a special day—the courts prove themselves corrupt re; the results of the Georgia case where Obama didn’t even show up and a proven false BC was accepted as proof— and I am not even a birther or whatever, just want a pretense of justice. —My grand daughter recognized Holder was lying in the farce investigation of the injustice dept hearing—and I am not even a CYNIC or wasn’t totally. Twenty six senators plus Pelosi beat a private charity to submission for interfering in their black genocide “Choice” program and not paying tithes or something. Child porn is nothing for those above the law who could care less about the child. I guess O will be re-elected and I will join the Klan or something.
